Dg #601 Pba

Hey Black Bart...glad to hear its working out for you....

I am very happy so far with the results I have been getting with DG products..I have done around 16 cars so far and every one looks spectacular...I bought a gallon of the 105 and I give the people a 4 oz bottle of 105 and tell them to use it again in a week or 2..most are friends and co workers...and I give them instructions to get AW and FC&S to maintain....

its funny..I see some doing thier cars at lunch break...with FC&S...

One girl I did her new Solstice....and one day she shouts to me..Thanks Al for the good waxing you gave me..now rumors are flying...lol....

but for the money and availability ..a good prodct.....that gives a outstanding finish....

I just reordered some more gallons of AW and FC&S ..winter is coming...

Al

I gave my neighbor my bottle of AW and FC&S, so as i went to repurchase the 2 i picked up the #601 and #105.

Thanks to all who chimed inn

I just picked up DG #105 and 601.

Directions for the 601 say:
#3 do not remove prior to polishing
#4 Apply DG PC,CCP,FGPC or your favorite polyamino-silicone polish?

Step #3 do i leave the 601 on before applying #501
As for step four im not up on the DG acronym's.. I'm also guessing im applying the #601 and #105 after using a SMR ?

Where does this all end (OCD)

so are the CCP, PC and the FGPC all LSP's?? When it says you can use your favorite Polyamino-silicone polish do they mean that you can use another brand's sealant on top of the 601?? The terminology is a bit confusing. I looked at the duragloss site and it seems like the above mentioned are LSP's but that word polish is throwing me off.

Jen i have no idea what the acronyms are,im a bit confused my self. maybe someone will tell us..

hehehehehehhehe Killerwheels did a review on the Duragloss product line on Ag and he called the CCP their sealant. He didn't mention the PC and the FPGC though.

DuraGloss PC = # 101 - Polish & Cleaner
DuraGloss CCP = # 111 - Clear Coat Polish (really a sealant, as Killr & Jen said)
DuraGloss FPGC = # 151 - Fiberglass Polish & Cleaner

I have only tried #601 (Polish Bonding Agent), #111 (Clear Coat Polish), #951 (AquaWax) & #921 (Fast Clean & Shine) on the hood of my car. But I have been really pleased with how the slickness has lasted over 6 weeks & almost 5,000 miles!! :)

BTW - it seems that DuraGloss uses the word "polish" to mean what most other companies call "sealants" - HTH :)

the FGPC.. is the Fiberglass Polish/cleaner #151

The CCP is the clear coat polish (no cleaner)... #111

the PC the polish/cleaner #101

all are sealants....but called polishes..lol...

151 and 101 are like a AIO...they clean and also leave a sealant behind...

and also the 601 can be used with any polyamino silicone sealant...

I see Norah has given the info...Nice job Norah....

I think the 601 will work with other siloxane/polymer sealants.

Good job norah i'm not surprised. For now im gonna keep it simple and go with the 601 and #105 using AW inbetween for a booster.

Im waiting on a shoulder strain to heal before i get started. So far the reviews have been extremely positive with the DG sealants.

I hate to mention this but has there been any Zano users willing to give DG a try and offer up a review..

AL you have been a big help, very informative with this line of products.

Ya for sure the Duragloss deepen color whereas Zaino is highly reflective.
I had been using Zaino car wash while deciding which sealant I was going to use ; so I got some duragloss car wash in the sun the Zaino gets washed out whereas the duragloss wash really brings out the white in the paint.

:chop I am so gload for the preview post button

As of this second im giving #601 some time to set, then i'll be out the door to apply the #105.

btw, anyone know if i can use AW as a wipe down after emoving the #105?

yes..you can do a wipe down with AW ...no problems....even FC&S works..do not go wild with the spray Joe..just a lite spritz will do it......it will add some zing to the outcome....

Well i just finished. I removed the DG without the AW as i didn't come in until now.

I detailed the SUV over a week ago and figured this would be a good oppertunity to try out the DG, which i was very impressed with.
#601 was kinda of watery but went a long way i doubt i used anymore then a 1/2 oz or more.

The #105 was creamy like lotion extremely easy to remove the depth and shine was beautiful actually the owner said the SUV didn't look that good when he purchased it. That statement came from him all i did was prep the car and use the products i've learn to use from here,so all of you guys who have help me deserve the credit i just did the work :bigups ,btw he went in the house came out with a camera and started snapping shot after shot :) I'll be using DG on my car next.

the reply is brief im tired sore and aching, btw i didn't charge a dime for this ,actually i was very happy to do this for him..

Joe,
I'm glad it worked out so well for you :bigups , but sorry about the sore & aching - hope you didn't over-work your shoulder :(

Norah you would have laughed the other day as Lori went shopoing for her own car care products . I came home from work and her trunk was open with all her belongings next to her car ,as i go to the back of the car she was actually all the way inside the trunk using a shop vac to clean up  , then yelled at me today for using her Armor tire gel and wheel brush  . I should have not let her chat the other day  .

btw. I really like the new Armore Tire Gel it's not oily more like a lotion..

Thank you for asking :ladies

Joe...I am very glad it worked out for you..I give you credit..you asked a 1000 questions and thats what makes things work....Knowledge is the key to success and you proved it...The owner must have been in Awe when he seen the TrailBlazer..the DG really makes things look nice...most every one that I did thier car for asked did you repaint the car..lol....

Also..the 601 is thin..like a white watery lotion...but it does the Job...and spreads a long way..

the 105 seems to spread forever...I use a 1/2 oz on the truck...and I still think I used to much..lol....

Now that you and Lori are going to be detailaholics...better find a place to hide your good stuff..lol...

Again..Congrats of a job well done...

little inside tip...for trim on the car...use DG 201...it has been on my textured black trim sine 4th July..it is still beading today in the rain...no streaks..and a nice finish...really lasts..

Thanks to you and all for the kind comments. Definately will try out the DG 201. I must say i was impressed with the DG and didn't one bit find any dusting upon removal,Also i really like the new aRMOR ALL Tire GEL ON THE suv MOST other PRODUCTS I APPLIED WHERE ABSORBED BY THE TIRE. YOU CAN CHECK OUT SOME OF THE PICS ON AG FORUM ,I DONT THINK dWAYNE WOULD HAVE ALLOWED THE PICS BUT I DIDNT ASK EITHER AND I KNOW THE OWNER WOULDN'T HAVE REGISTERED. sorry for the caps button.

Thanks to all for the help/comments

Finished up Sat around 6:30pm , we had rain Sun starting around 11:30pm the time from should be more then enough for the DG to set up correct?

your all set Joe...no problem with it setting up ..its fine...I asked this before to DG about rain or dew setting in hours after doing the truck..they said no problem....they said years ago they use wash the vechicle after applying sealant instead of buffing it off...lol....
