DF Towels

OK, I don't have the DF Towel but instead the CBT. I just used it for the first time yesterday, it is an amazing final buff towel, but my goodness does it snag. I was being super careful but the darn thing is just so smooth on freshly polished and waxed paint! My question being....and don't flame me please....but should the snag be trimmed or left alone? ( I can't believe I paid so much for a towel and snagged it right away.) Thanks!

EDIT: Found the answer from DF Towel website

• As you use the DF™ Concours Towel you will notice that sometimes a thread will loosen or pull out here or there. This is normal for terrycloth and you should NEVER PULL AT THE LOOSE THREAD! Pulling the thread can cause the weave to come undone or stitching to unravel. Instead, simply trim the thread with a pair of sharp scissors to about 1/4 of an inch from the surface, don't cut too closely. Think of it as giving your towel a haircut from time to time.

See, you found the answer :up

The CBT and the DF are very similar in the way they feel and act.

These are by far the best for QD work. Those of you who do not have a CBT or DF, you MUST try them!

If you have just MF towels, you need these as well. The MF's are great for all wax-on/wax-off Danielson... The CBT/DF are not great at that as they do not have the bite, but for all the fine work, you just can't beat these!

Yes they are prone to snag, but if carefull you wil avoid that anyway.

Try them, you won't be sorry!!

I've had several DF and CBT towels since the start of summer and love them both for a final wipe after waxing or qd ing. They both work great.

While on the DF towel thread, has anyone used either his glass cleaner or car wash?

I recall reading BlkZ28's review of the glass cleaner a while back, but I can't seem to find it. Maybe I'm losing it... :dance

Hot dryer won't harm cotton but beware of polyester as it could melt (unlikely but it can happen.)

I have 11 or 12 MF's which have some degree of melting from the dryer @ the laundrymat. Also, some "cotton washmitts. Becareful when using dryer, use the lowest setting.

I should order a DFT.
