DetailShopPro

This is a new program that you can find at serviceshoppro.com to keep track of detailing appts and customers. It also allows customers to book an appt directly online from your website and it goes directly into your program.

I've been looking for a program like this and would like to know if anyone has used this before or if you have something else you use that you would recommend.

Keeping appts in your head or on paper is not an option.

I use Apple's iCal and Address Book. . . I'm just one man. For a higher volume organization DetailShopPro looks like a well supported, conclusive application. I bookmarked it

Nobody uses a program to keep track of their detailing appointments?

About half my week is regularly scheduled appointments, pretty easy to keep track with my appointment book. Obviously, if I had multiple units heading out each day, that wouldn't work.

I use those thick non-dated appointment books you get from Staples or Office Depot. It works great up until someone wants an appointment a month from now. I then have to sit there and write all of the dates out leading up to their desired appointment date! :p

Thats a fairly simple application. Serious customization would be required to make sure you use it to its potential. That is always the problem with OTC software.

A Treo, Palm Pilot, Outlook Calendar, or any PDA would suffice to manage a calendar for a detail shop of small size (20 cars per week). Like Scott said, most are regulars. When you bump up to high volumes and multiple work areas I would start worrying about management software. But go custom.
