Detailing Technology : 1990 BMW M3

This was an attempt to save the car form a repaint. It was purchased with what was called a Griots Stage 3 (I was wrong when I said 5) detail. It's only 58,000 miles from new.

The paint is single stage, which is always rewarding to polish. I think the end result is worth holding off on the full repaint. This as a two day procedure.

Process:

Wash:

CG Citrus Wash

Clay

Polish: Makita Rotary

Meguiars M105 + wool

Meguiars M205 + Orange LC

Menzerna PO 85 to jewel

LSP:

Interior:

Leatherique

Silk Shine

The owner has new wheel well liners and 17" Fikse wheels on the way.

I commented in your thread with this car, very nice save on a very beautiful car. Having owned one in this color but with a black interior makes me regret, even more then I already do, selling it. And wow at 58k miles!! That car as some serious value!

Thanks. That car is going into storage on Sunday. The owner intends on holding on to it for a while. I thought I'd use up some of my Concorso, single stage red truly shows off the benefits of a carnauba wax.

Pat - finally got some decent shots!

That is the new D90. Some may have been taken with with my TZ5.

I would in all seriousness trade a kidney to own that thing. One of the most beautiful cars of all time.
