I wanted to know if these steps would work on detailing up a white vehicle. or am I missing anything?

1-Wash and dry vehicle

2-Clay vehicle

3-Apply Colorx (PC) Meguiars Soft Buff Foam-Polishing Pad

4-Apply NXT wax (PC) Meguiars Soft Buff Foam-Finishing Pad

5-Top with Meguiars #26 (PC) Meguiars Soft Buff Foam-Finishing Pad

Am I missing anything or should I change things aroud at all ?

Do I need to apply a sealant to the paint before the NXT ?

Thanks for the help

You may want to actually replace the ColorX with a dedicated polish or cleaner. ColorX is a great AIO type of product, but you selected to apply a sealant afterwards. I would rather see you spend your time improving the paint with a nicer cleaner/polish. And good luck with the Soft-Buff and the ColorX if you stay that route......The ColorX tends to wadd up, its a fairly dry product unless its been reformulated.........You'll find yourself going thru quite a bit of it.

If you stick with Meg's, #80 would be great. Any less abrasive, go with #9.....ColorX is a great product, but I think you'll have an easier time at it with one of the formentioned though...Heres a pic of a P/U I did with only ColorX. As you can see, it works very well. This was all by hand 2-3 few years ago......
