Thanks! I have yet to find a color/paint where I was not happy with the results CG 50/50 gave me. In my option its the best wax in its price range.

Hi!

That came a well with out polishing! :2thumbs: 50/50 seems to deliver the looks! If you have clear coated wood then you can use a chemical paintwork cleaner on it and use it on the exterior.

I was going to say, i would hesitant to use the Zymol sponge on any car, but most of all older ones esp. with gapping like in the pics.

All it takes is for dirt to wash out of them and get caught under the sponge and then your rubbing that dirt across your paintwork underforce.

Geoff

My only criticism is that those seats don't look like they were cleaned well enough before using the leather conditioner. You might want to pick up a nail scrubber brush or a dedicated leather cleaner brush to really work the rest of that dirt out that a MF can't get.

Overall, great job. I'm sure she loved it.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who did that for my Mum :)

Can you explain how you extract your carpets with the CG stain remover and such??

GREAT JOB overall!

With the CG Stain Extractor they say you can just let the product sit and then wipe it off. I like to do a more thorough job, therefore I let it sit, then brush it, and finally extract the area. The CG Stain Extractor does a great job!

Well you have to remember I powerwash the car like crazy. Then I use a pre-soak and power wash again. Then I foam and let it sit for a bit on the car and power wash again. Finally I foam and use the two bucket method while always checking the sponge of build-up. If the car was really dirty then I would switch time my MF sponges, but I personally love the Zymol ones. But your right for you always have to be careful with sponges because things can become embedded quite easy.

On the pic that you are referring, that was before they were cleaned. Trust me i had the seats as clean as possible. It took me longer to clean the seats than it did to let the conditioner soak in. But using a brush might have speed-ed things up! I think I am going to use tooth brushes next time because I can get them for free!

L~R~G Nor Cal- Nice job! Getting the gray carpet clean must not've been all that easy.

Interesting that your Mom's '00 A8 has a few details that are quite different from my wife's '00 A8  There must've been some running changes/updates during that model year.
