Detailing of a 1987 Guards Red Carrera

Outstanding work as always, Anthony. Thanks for spending the time to list all the steps you take to evaluate the finish and to correct the paint. Very helpful to everyone here!

Oh yeah, kick the owner in the shins for me for allowing such a beautiful Porsche get so nasty! :lol

Thanks Scott,

My threads are not truly complete unless I get a review from "ScottWax":bigups

The doctor who owns the car drove by today and man it still looked great. He told me he got several compliments on the car so that makes all that hard work worthwhile.

The "Instant Shine" that was applied to the wheels was still looking nice and black and holdingup just fine!

Outta here,

Anthony

i love your posts.

And I.......I ...love your posts also:wavey

Thanks, appreciate the support!

I woke up to rain today.....well actually I went to bed at 3am this morning so in reality I went to bed when it started raining.....so my car details today will most likely cancel but I have some Harleys I need to get detailed and if I do them I will of course post them up.

Take care,

Anthony

Nothing like the input from a real pro...

How many hours did this whole thing take?

Well I had the car for several days......and each day I worked on it here and there so all in all something like 12 hours.

Thank you also for the kind words.

Excellent work as always......you are definately one of the finest detailers I've ever seen.:xyxthumbs

Terry,

That is perhaps one of the nicest and most humbling comments that another has said of my work. I hope in the future to continue to live up to that.

Thank You,

Anthony

Amazing job and documentary!

Everything down to the trim was given a ton of attention. I think that's what really sets the real details away from the rest.

What did you use to bring the lighting back to life?

Hey GSR......forgive me for overlooking your question, sorry about that.

For the lenses I used Light Cut to clean them up and then applied a layer of Poly-Spray to the inside and outside. Interior lenses got a wipe down with Plexus.

If you happen to remove lenses on one of your details make sure you clean the screws also that hold the lenses in place.

Take care,

Anthony

Hey I hate to resurrect this old baby....but I was sending this as a link to someone and I noticed that I have two pictures missing, at least when I view it (on the first page) but I am also having some broadband issues and would like to know if anyone else can see them or if they are missing for others as well?

Thanks,

Anthony

All the photos are there when I view the page Anthony. Excellent detail as usual, the Carrera looks fantastic! Hope you've got your broadband issues resolved.

Hey thanks guys..... :D

This is odd because although my broadband seems to be working just fine now I still can't view two pictures that should be there :nixweiss

I'll try and go back and upload the pics again....now I need to remember where I hosted the pics :hairpull

Thanks again,

Anthony
