Detailing living in an apartment??

thanks for the quick response. But i was talking about useing QD not Polish but according to your response i quess they are the same...

I personaly never used a MF towel to apply polish.. Does that work better than using a foam pad?

What is another inside product that will not make it look shiny. My friend and I both don't like our stuff shinny so we usally just whip off with a MF and water.

Let me clarify...I spray the QD on the body panel, let it sit for 15-30 seconds, wipe with the first cloth and buff out with the second cloth.

You had asked:

same method as appling polish?
hence the reference to polish. I meant to imply that I use the same motions for both QDing & polishing of a front to back & back to front rather than side to side or circles. I learned this technique here and it has worked well for me in minimizing any marring induced by QDing. Sorry for the confusion.

I sometimes us a mf applicator for polishes & sealants with applying by hand, but generally use my PC when polishing. A terry applicator has the most bite, I feel a mf applicator has more bite than foam...there seems to be differing thoughts on that and I'm sure some of it has to do with how much pressure is applied.

The most matte interior product I have found is 1Z Cockpit Premium. The downside is that it does not offer much UV protection so I use it as an interior QD. I typically use 1Z Plastic-Vinyl Cleaner (Plastik-Reinger) to clean my dash once a month and 1Z Tiefenpfleger to protect once a month and then use the CP in the weeks in between as a QD for my dash & door panels. The TP is a tad satin, but it isn't very glossy.

A lot of Autopians are using 303 products on their dash and they leave a finish that is matte satin to my eyes.

My dash is very difficult to buff and if you are able to buff your dash with a damp mf towel 10 minutes after applying Natural Look it may achieve the look you are after...just an idea if you've already ordered it. If you haven't you may want to give the 1Z line a try.

Off hand, I would think that you might have a nearby friend who owned a home and would let you clean up your car in his driveway, especially if you helped him do his at the same time. You bring the equipment, cleaners, polishers, and beer, and let him supply the place and the water.
