I have been using this Craftsman stool to save my back while detailing. Found this Kreepstool and ordered it, has alot more room for supplies and more support for your back. Anyone own it and have any comments? I will post a review once i get it.

Heres the link Kreepstool It is a little pricey but this was the cheapest i found it for. Everyone else wants over 200$ for it. My Crafstman has been good for a few years but this seems alot nicer.

I have the craftsman and i think its great.Works very nice when buffing the side panels and polishing wheels .Great way to stay off your feet and saves on your back alot.

It's a great looking stool but the price scared me off. I have a mechanics one from an Auto Supply much like Harbor Freight and it is a real saver on the back and legs. Great for when you're working on the wheels and sides of a vehicle.

what about something like this....

well i just got back from harbor freight and bought this pneumatic roller seat (it came in only 3 pieces), and while it's not as fancy as the more expensive ones... it is worth the $20 ($17.99 + tax = $19.43) i paid for it (on sale by the way). it came pretty much already assembled (only had to use a crescent wrench), all i had to do is connect the seat and bottom tray to the long pneumatic pole (sat on it and tested it, and the pneumatic feature worked fine) and viola...

just wanted to let everyone know, that this looks pretty identical to the one sold at california car cover for $30 more ($49.99)!

Good choice imacarnut. Has five wheels. The only negative is there is no back rest. You can pick some good deals on ebay also/ Just watch out for the shippin price

I'm leaning in the direction of the 5 gal wash bucket dolly for about $45. This coupled with a seat cover for the pail makes a good seat. True, no backrest, but it doubles as a dolly to move the wash bucket around. Besides, it seems when sitting to work on side panels, I'm usually bent at the waist so a backrest wouldn't really be used - but that's just me.

Can't beat the price of that $20 seat deal though ! So I'm tempted if I could find it.

Update: just found it online (Frieght Harbor Tools) for $20 - HMMM.

Looking forward to the review on that Kreepster one. I am looking for something new myself. I have a small one that has three drawers, but is not easy to roll around on.

I should have it a Tuesday or Wednesday and i will post a review. I would like to post pictures in the body of the post like imacarnut, anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

Came home from work today and The Kreepstool was siiting on my porch. :getdown Pulled it out of the box, minimal assembly required. Screwed in wheels and attached backrest and was done. :spot Right away sat on it and i have to say it is pretty sturdy. I am 6.3 250lbs and The Kreepstool didnt even flinch. Rolls easily over my garage floor and is very light compared to my old stool the Craftsman. Backrest was great and padding provided a very comfortable seat. I am loving all the compartments to put my stuff in while detailing, even has a drink holder. I have a Chevy Tahoe and the Kreepstool sits high enough to comfortably clean the wheels and wells. On my Lexus i can easily reach the side panels without much strain. All in all The Kreepstool is great the only drawback i can think of is the price. I have had my Crafstman a few years and if The Kreepstool lasts as long it should be worth it. I also ordered from Costco so if i have any problems i can easily return it. I will put it through its paces next off day.
