Detailing is a Rain Dance

I have a beater that sits in the driveway to drive when the roads or weather are bad...And if the beater (actually my work van) isn't appropriate for the occasion, I'll drive the wife's car ;-)

As far as beading/sheeting... I noticed that when I had just my DP sealant on, spraying water on the car causes most of it to just simply slide off, with a few random beads here and there. It definitely wasn't the "unprotected" performance, but most of the water simply slid off... it's hard to explain. Maybe this is what you are all talking about with "sheeting."

Now, a week after I put NB on, I sprayed the car and it was some crazy crap beading. It looked like someone put the car in the freezer :D

It's true what people say... sealants go more for sheeting while carnaubas go for the straight beads.

Next week (no time this week :() I'll find out what AW has done.
