Detailing cars as a way to make money during the summer; need your opinions.

I will be sending out flyers here within the next week for a detailing business. I have everything planned out except for the whole fact of me only being 17. I am not sure if people would feel comfortable letting a teenager who is still in highschool work on their car; would you? All opinions are wanted, TIA.

I think that putting a few pics of cars that you've done to the flyers would do the trick.

After seeing cars that have been detailed nicely, I think that the customers dont mind your age anymore. At least I wouldn't if guy of your age would do a great job on my car.

Go for it "junior"!!! :xyxthumbs

I'm 19 and people take you as seriously as you act. So when you are putting out the fliers a nice Polo shirt & khahki shorts will go a long way.

Thanks, the suggestions you have made have all been very helpful and will do all of them. What I plan on doing is clocking on at my work (a pizza shop) and going marketing for them and I will pass out the detailing fliers as well (kill 2 birds with one stone:xyxthumbs).

stick the flyers on the pizza boxes!!!

Oh that would be really nice to be able to do that. Although, I don't think Donatos (owned by Mcdonalds) would be fond of me using their company to advertise my company. I'll have to check with my manager on that though (hey, you never know).
