Hey Charles... when you created this thread, did you actually think it would be a 9-pager?!!! (more to come no doubt!) :bow

Much more turbulent than I expected,

There isn't anything wrong with pasionate debate. If people didn't have different opinions there wouldn't be anything to discuss here.

I would also add that I really don't respect PRO detailers who don't know how to use a rotary or cannot touch up paint (this is on a professional level, not a personal level). Again this is not personal at all, my best friend is an artist, but can't paint. I love him to death, but shouldn't an artist atleast be able to draw.

Wow you might want to come off that pedistal of yours buddy. Any idiot with a little training can take garage queen ferraris, etc and make them look new again.

Being able to make a garage queen look new doesn't mean jack. Being able to take long haul work trucks, hunting jeeps, car pool sedans, and make them look new that will show your worth as a pro.

Yea Todd, get off your ashe and do some real work. We have had enough of your flying all over the world and polishing 10-15 hours a day for 10 days in a row.

I suggest you glaze over a few beaters like a true detailer would.

How are we supposed to take you serious if all you do is polish million dollar cars? :doh

Actually I had a good reply for this, but being that I am on thin ice, I will just settle down and reinerate that you use a heavy based silicone product which fills everything in site.

IMO, it doesn't take much skill to get good results from such products.

I have plently of experience on all types of condition cars, and paint correction is paint correction, so I don't agree with your assessment.

I think (when you remove silicone based products from you aresonal) you will be amazed at the skill required for correction. I'm not sure why you want to start a battle with me, I try to help all Florida detailers out. Infact, instead of doing a battle with you, I would rather you come to one of the detailing meets we have and we can all learn something together.

We are supposed to be students of this game, which is why I was trying to make the point that my opinion is NOT more valuable despite the misconception that it is. If there was an underground Zaino war, I would be a prime target, not because of my skill, but because of the cars I work on.

Sounds egotistical to me

This should be stated this was never posted on this thread, and is out of context...

GUYS!!!! STOP BASHING EVERYONE!!! This is seriously not cool! Take it to PM's if you must but come on, i know some of you guys are better then this!

And Todd is one of the best detailers on this site. The fact that he can detail (EXTREMELY) well reflects on the cars he does. If you would look at his posts, some of his cars are SERIOUSLY swirled and in case you didn't notice he makes them PERFECT!!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS guys

I do use more then just automagic, i'm no dummy i know the difference between correcting and filling. anyways my post wasn't a direct attack at you. just my 2 cents on that comment you made. :)

I have a question scott no BS you change lsps all the time and sometimes it has to do with a new product or soon to be released product

1.) do u pay full price for each product?

2.) do u recieve any kickbacks from say meguairs for using a product on your C&Bs?

3.) For instance when OS came out u where using that all the time now all of a sudden NXT is coming out and u r using that now is that just coincidence or by design?

I am NOT flaming you just asking a question that has perplexed me for a bit.

1) Unless I get a test version, I pay full price for what I use.

2) No kickbacks. Do you honestly think with all the different products I use someone would be happy if I use something else as well? I highly doubt my using Meguiars would impact the sales of a company their size anyway. Lets be real here. Sales of Meguiars to Autopians is miniscule to what they probably sell at one Wal-Mart in a year.

The ones you ought to be asking this question are those who make sure they have reflection shots of their products (usually one dominant line) or their manufacturer's t-shirts in the pictures they take, or get upset when their favorite product is dissed in any way.

3) Still using OS, at least as much as NXT. I am WAY behind in posting C&B's, probably have another 100+ pics to post. The latest one I posted, I used Carnauba Moose as the LSP. Since NXT2.0 is new, I want to try it on as many colors as possible to see what it looks best on.

Read my C&Bs, you will notice I use a wide range of products.
