detailers with a shop how is bussiness in bad weather.

I'm mobile, but rain does hurt if it is constant. Cold doesn't affect my business other than I can't work when it is below freezing unless I have a garage to work in.

Constant rain can really hurt though. The last two winters have been real wet, but this on, which was supposed to be affected by El Nino (which usually means wet weather in Texas), has been pretty dry so far. I've already beaten my best January and I have 3 days left.

Depending on where you are located, weather can play havoc with the consistency of sales. I am fortunate to have 3 large dealer accounts that keep me fairly busy no matter what the weather is like.

When the weather is BAD, so is your business.

To stay alive when business is bad, you need to get some accounts and steady customers.

Even if it is raining out you may be able to wash some cars indoors at a dealership for them or get a customer that has a garage you can wash the car in.

I know this might sound strange but sometimes i get so busy in the summer i just wish for one day of rain to give me time to relax.

This summer I did not get my wish and we had a water shortage.

Im like NY, sometimes my nerves are pinched in shoulders, and pray for rain

Sometimes I hope for rain just so I can take care of other things. Not too often though.
