Detailed my Evo after the race track

So after the track day yesterday I did the usual after track day cleaning. My friend helped me out with it. It took the two if us 6 hours to finish the car... We washed the car, clayed the car, put the car on jack stands, removed the wheels, changed the motor oil while the car's in the air, cleaned the wheels, detailed the brakes, detailed the car. It probably would have taken me 12 hours to do all this by myself. Goes to show how much faster it is with 2 people!

For the car body process was:

Wash

Blow water out seams and edges with compressed air

Clay

Spot scratch removal using Optimum Compound using PC speed 6 and light cutting pad, follow up with Optimum Polish speed 5 and polishing pad

Werkstatt Prime Strong using PC speed 3 with finishing pad to whole car

Finish with Werkstatt Acrylic Jett by hand

Wheels:

Rinse

Poorboy Spray and Rinse

Wash

Werkstatt Prime Strong

Werkstatt Acrylic Jett

Brake calipers:

Clean with quick detailer

Werkstatt Prime Strong by hand

Sorry no before pics... the car is usually in pretty good condition with the usual autopian washes and is my daily commuter and weekend track terror.

Here's the after pics:

Still running the Megan coilovers?

I've upgraded to a BC coilover set up with higher spring rates. The Megan worked good for the street but I wanted something more aggressive for the track.

The track is Thunderhill and I'm in the Sunset area in San Francisco. I think the houses really give it away because people who've been here know the slanted look on hills. :)

I think the thing I hate most about after track cleaning is the brake material chunks and stuff baked onto the wheels. The SnR really makes it easier to clean the stuff off.

Thanks Everyone, I'm looking forward to detailing more cars!
