just hadnt had time to post pictures up till now. Since I own no PC I used my B&D rotary buffer with a wool pad:scared Started off by washing and claying the whole car, and then went on to start polishing. I had been using 1Z UP but was running out and it didnt seem to be working too well:nixweiss So my dad thought maybe he had some 3M polsih somewhere, but ended up pulling some Zymol auto polish out, neither of us know where it came from but it worked pretty well. Then I went ahead and put #7 down, and started putting #26 on but it was making hte finish hazy:confused: So I ended up stripping that back off and putting 1Z Glanz Wax down, and this is how it turned out:)

I know they're not the best pics to show off the finish, but it was the best I could do for lighting at the time:nixweiss

Was that the sleeper R/T? I remember those things hit 60 in less than 6 seconds!!

Looks great--you can never go wrong with Glanz. What problems did you have with the #7? Was it post #7 removal or did the hazing start with the application of #26? Don't be offended by my question if you have used them without fail in the past;)

Thanks everyone! and yes I did dress the fenderwells...and it is a 1991 dodge spirit r/t:)

The #7 went on with no problems, it was the #26 that started hazing. I wasn't sure why, I had heard that something to do with the temperature they poured the wax in the plastic container might have something to do with it:confused: but I don't really know. I just went ahead and stripped it back off and applied my Glanz Wax which worked great!

Nice cars those R/Ts but I don't think it's the sleeper one. Those had DOCH/INTERCOOLED sticker on the sides and different wheels(Black mesh ones).:up

The sleeper I think you guys are thinking of is the Omni GLH and GLHS (stands for "Goes Like Hell" and the S is for Shelby.)

Either way, that car looks great. Good job on it.

I think Zymol (Zurtle Wax) is underrated. It is VERY durable IMO. I still use it religiously on my mom's 323i every 2-3 months and the car still beads up every time I wash it. Not a bad shine either. Nothing beats the smell of Zymol either ;)

There were some problems with the #26 in the plastic tubs. But if you are careful you can salvage the rest of tub still, if you still want to use it. First off, ensure that the car is clayed and polished, which you did. Then, apply super, super thin. Let sit for a minute or two, and buff off. The key is the thin layer. You just want to get a tiny amount on the applicator, and not wait to long to buff off. It'll work out for you better that way. If you don't want the hassle, just get the liquid #26, and wax away. That stuff is foolproof, and provides a beautiful shine every time.

It is the R/T model, and it did have the DOHC Intercooled Turbo stickers on the side moulding, but they were removed. We're just replacing the old intercooler with a custom built one my dad just purchased. And yes, this was a sleeper along with the GLH-S and GLH (which we also have had both and still own a GLH). I don't think they came with the black mesh wheels either of the cars, the R/T's came in two colors white and red. Both had matching wheels, and some had the snow flakes matching the car(what we have) and some had the other wheels which I forgot the name.

And thanks for the tips on usiny #26:up And all the nice comments:)
