Detailed Elegance - 2011 Silver Porsche Cayenne

Great job on the Porsche. How long did it take you to clay that thing? The interior/tires/details look spot on! Thank you for sharing :D

Sure looked a lot better after you were done with it. Funny how someone can care for one nice car and crap all over another.
Thanks Ron.
I really don't get it either.

Thank you for the kind words Todd.

It took me about 35 minutes to clay it. I sent a message to the owner later in the day to see if he was satisfied with the job I did, and he was thrilled. I guess it is good to know that if you have a beautiful car, and you trash it, it is a good thing to have someone that can bring it back from the dead.

Barry - is the Surf City thick or watery? The SUV tires have tons of ridges in the sidewalls at are a PITA to work with :banghead: I love the Continental tires for overall driving, but caring for them is not so fun.

Oh, the fallout from the airports near you must be a real biatch and may account for that grungy claybar

Harry,
The SCG Beyond Black is somewhat watery. It is a little thicker in consistency then some sprays are though. It comes out blue, and you can wipe with a towel or wipe with an applicator pad. You can also spray directly onto a pad, and then wipe onto the tire. Another way that you may want to try if your tires have a lot of ridges, is to spray directly onto the tire, and then brush into all the crevices with a foam brush that you can pick up at HD for about $0.99.

As for the clay and the fallout, I don't know. The last two SUV's that I detailed have had enormous amounts of contaminants, but other cars that I have done, were not so bad. It seems that they are a lot worse on SUV's. I guess SUV's are just driven a lot harder, and driven in places that cars are not. I dunno!!

Very nice work Barry. Those wheels were in really bad shape, such a great turnaround.

I need to start putting my Opti-Seal to use more often. I have 2 vehicles to detail today, definitely gonna use it on them.

Great write-up, can't wait for the next.

Thanks Kody.
Opti-Seal sure does have it's place. For a job where time is of the essance, and you do not want to sacrifice looks, it is the answer.
great job Barry. That Cayenne is super clean now.
Thank you Chad.

That ride was so much bigger then it looks.
