Detailed Elegance - 2010 Sandy Black Pearl Carola

Looks great Barry.

How do you like the car?

I know its no BMW but it will get you from Point A to Point B :)

Thanks Flash.
I have talked to a lot of people and all of them have told me that sanding factory paint especially on a DD may not be a great idea. Also, since I don't have a garage to work in, it might be difficult keeping things clean.

Understood ;)

So when are you going to wetsand :)

Looks really nice and that flake really stands out.

I love the look of the tires. Nice and clean looking with a low sheen. I don't like the hi-gloss most products leave. What did you use on them?

Sorry, I didn't notice the tire dressing in your write up. I've got it now.

Nice job Barry, that flake is a poppin' thanks to you.
Thank you Brian.

You're right. It's no BMW, but it does get me where I need to go. The gas mileage is very good, and overalll it's a good car. I just wish the engine had a bit more pick-up.

This was the first time that I used the SSC Beyond Black, and I really like the look.
That Carola - Corolla - is looking good!
Thanks 3Guy

Great work Barry! I love the paint color/flake, I am sure it looks really sharp now!

Thanks Todd.

Any compliment coming from you means a lot.
When I picked up the car from the dealer, I told not to wash it or anything else to it. Nothing about the color really stood out. Then after I detailed it, I saw the true color and those flakes. It really catches the eye.:Dancing Dot:

Sweet detail on that new car Barry! Take it back to the dealer and show them what it should have looked like - haha

Nice work, that flake really comes out
Thanks Steve.
I really like the wau it looks when the sun reflects off of it.

Thank you Harry.
Not a bad idea. Maybe I can get their prep work for them.

I recently took the SUV in for an oil change and talked to the guy on the floor. He thought I had just bought one of their used vehicles due to me mostly detailing the engine. I have done more today on it but still don't like the valve covers looking the way they do.. might have to post a pic so folks can see what I mean (already have a thread on it).
