I did consider 105 on a Tangerine, but I was worried that it wouldn't finish down as nicely as the 205/cayan combo on black. Besides, I burned through my last Tangerine pad on my last job this passed Tuesday.:o
I just placed a big order to replenish a lot of my supplies.
 
Hey Barry, Great job yet again buddy! You are staying busy which is great! I am really happy you are picking up speed. Im sure it is nice to be doing alot of work esp around the holidays.

Ive had that happen many times too where the customer will cut your time short even though you you tell them beforehand how long it will take . It sure adds added stress to your job!

Happy money and work is rolling in for you . Now what will you do if you get a full time job offer !!? :money::D

Never like the Cayan pad, always seem to get micromarring with it. But I don't think I've tried it with M205...maybe I'll give it a go.
 
Nice job Barry. Those guys really keep you on a tight schedule. I hate working on a tight timeline. I have found sometimes with new clients that they are so use to hack detailers they think it should only take a few hours. Of course we all see the "few hour" jobs out there.

I would really like to do the job right, but they want to leave by 2:30 - 3:30. What can I do? It's work, and so far, it's been a good source for me.
I'm not sure what I will do, if and when I get a full time offer. I guess I will have to play it by ear.

I have never had that problem with the Cayan pad. It is one of my favorite pads.

I don't think they are used to hack detailers, as much as they just want to go home at a certain time. Quite frankly, I don't think they have ever gotten their cars professionally detailed before.
I did have to explain to her that the job could be much better if given the time to do it.
She was thrilled with the results though!
 
Beautiful work, Barry, on what looked like hammered non metallic new GMC black paint. Under the harsh, somewhat critical lighting after your work it looks phenomenal for a 1 step. The customer probably won't ever see it under those light conditions to truly appreciate your work.

The smart detailers react to those customer induced time "constraints" and put out work like THAT! Well done and thanks for sharing it with us.

Thank you very much for the very nice comments.
The customer came in to look at the progress many times during the detail, and I made sure that she saw the 50/50's.
I think that she now knows what to look for. She was soo happy with the work, she gave me a nice tip.
 
Awesome work Barry, your turnarounds are looking great! I feel your pain with the time constraints customers give. Slowly but surely I think we are all working towards the same goal: educate the driving world that detailing takes time, this isn't car washing.
