What a busy week! A client called me up for a paint correction on his BMW M5 which the dealership ruined after a service with them. As requested, he wanted a write up, before/after pictures of the whole process during his M5 detailing. Lots of pictures and I'm sure some of you guys will find it interesting some will find it boring! coolsmiley

Started out the week with some regulars coming back for a thorough wash, sealant and premium wax to get ready for the Summer.

Audi R8 and Maserati Gran Turismo S. TLC for both these fine machines after a track event.

On to the BMW M5. This vehicle was a daily driver and therefore requested it to be done during the weekend as fast as possible. I was able to achieve 98% paint correction with a few light scratches here and there but barely noticeable. I will tend to these the next time I see this M5 again. A total of 21 hours was put into this vehicle. Worked from 11am till 1am on Saturday :smiley2: A pretty big write up!

BMWs are known for their ridiculous amount of brake dust.

Therefore a strong and effective, yet safe on the clear coat wheel gel is applied to brake up the grime and brake dust.

Degreasing the body to loosen all tough dirt and grime and dealership solvents.

This is what I was able to pick up through a Sun Gun.

Water etching, minor bird droppings and left over solvents that were starting to form yellow acid around the clear coat.

This is with halogen lights, more swirls and scratches.

Sealed the car and was able to achieve that deep, wet look on this blue. Now to let it settle for 12 hours and call it a day.

The next day were final touches. While Jonathan is cleaning the interior, I am applying the premium wax at the same time carrying detailing Q-tips, toothpicks, small brushes to clean around tight crevices and taking out left over waxes and solvents. A quick detailer and 50/50 rubbing alcohol was used here.

Before/After. Polished the chrome.

The dust, dirt and left over wax on crevices. Can't really see it cause the picture is too dark :bored:
