Detailed a Taurus today...

YNOT

Poorboys Rules!
Phew...it's hot out there today...I'm still delirious from the heat.:passout:

Anyway...some time ago I asked for you guys' help on buffing out a long scratch on a car...well...this is it. I got the scratch out about a month ago. I was hoping the lady would go ahead and let me detail the whole car eventually as I couldn't stand having only buffed out the scratch and left the rest of the car filthy dirty so today I got to finish it.

Washing, claybarring, buffing, waxing and detailing it all out took me about 6 hours.

Here's what I did...
- washed with Megs soap
- claybarred entire car
- SSR1 over entire car
- SSR2.5 and 3 on a few heavy scratches
- PB EX over whole car
- Natty's blue over the 'top' of the car (I was running out of time)
- Stoners More Shine on the tires
- Stoners on the glass
- RIDGID vac on the interior

Overall I was really happy with the results. The paint wasn't in too bad of shape to start with other than a few scratches on the sides. The one side that I had done a few weeks ago was still smooth as glass so it went pretty fast.;)

The customer was ecstatic...said she had just paid it off and she was excited to have it 'revived' to a like-new state again.

I still think I need more practice as I could still see a few faint 'spider-webs' in some spots...after I was finished of course!

Sorry...no 'before' shots...I forgot.

Anyway...what do you guys think?

Nice work Tony.

If I was going to get another Taurus it would have been a Gen 4, I just like the lines of the car.
