Mobile Detailing Services
After a couple of months, me and this client finally was able to hook up. He found me here on Autogeek Online and pm'd me about my services. He really wanted to get his wife's Acura TSX taken care of first. Well yesterday, I got up early and headed south to Atlanta. It was about an hour or so of a drive. I got there and inspected the car. Not bad at all. He really takes care of his vehicles. While there, he wanted me to clean and protect the exterior of his GMC 2500. I can't get away from the big rides!
Now on to the detail!
Wheels, Tire, and Wells:
(Meguiar's Wheel Brightener & ZEP Citrus Degreaser)
These wheel were tough. Huge rotors and multi spokes made it difficult to get inside of the wheels. Using various brushes and a few scraped knuckles, about an hour later all four were done. The wells got a coat of Wet'n Protect. Wheels, a layer of DP's Surface Spray Shield, and the tires a coating of Pinnacle's Black Onyx.
Engine Bay:
(ZEP CD and No-Touch Wet'n Protect)
I simply wanted to try something new here with Wet'n Protect. I've been experimenting with my own engines and really like the look. Turned out nice and shiny. A little shinier than the Armor All Tire Foam.
Wash Cycle:
(NXT Tech Wash & Dawn at a 4:1 ratio)
This combo really cleans and preps well for a full detail. It also does a great job on bugs and tar. I used the regular wash ShMitt and and the backside for bugs.
Paint Correction:
(Optimum's Hyper Compound with Cyclo & EDGE2K Yellow Pads)
Pretty aggressive huh? Not really if you let the compound work it's way down. There were plenty of deep scratches.......not just swirls. This setup knocked them out but did leave a little marring. I had something to handle that.
Paint Protection:
(XMT's 360 AIO with Cyclo & EDGE2K Yellow Pads)
I simply let the weight of the machine do the work here. Taking my time, I worked the product until it vanished. This was in full sun too. I let it sit on the car for about 30 minutes and removed any residue that was left. This all that was used for protection. Pretty glossy and wet. One thing I liked.......no orange peel!!!
Interior:
(DuraGloss 441 Leather Shampoo and Pinncle's Leather Conditioner and Rubber & Vinyl Protectant)
This DG Shampoo is awesome. I've used it twice and now it does such a nice job cleaning leather and rubber. Plastic too. Smells nice as well. Like new leather. I then treated the plastic and leather surfaces and then moved onto the glass. DP Krystal Vision. The mats were treated with Folex (as was the carpets then wiped clean) then pressure washed. This was one of my favorite interiors done to date.
Befores.....
Ah......so sweet!
