Mobile Detailing Services
Well, it was time for winter on this one. You may remember this one. It was one of my first posts here back in May. I've washed it every 2 weeks since I did a major overhaul on it. The owner had just returned with it from Florida and wanted it fully detailed again. There were not many swirls in it this time. He keeps the inside immaculate so no shots of it. This was an exterior and engine bay only.

Here's the full story.....

Start Time:

9:00AM

Finish Time:

12:30PM

Payment:

300.00

Wash and Clay with Meguiar's NXT

(Used wash ShMitt on entire vehicle including wheels)

Optimum's New-Formula Polish

(EDGE2K Green Polishing Pad with a #5 PC setting)

I stepped up to a tougher pad with this amazing polish to see how the black paint would react to it. Took about a dime sized amount per panel which would be 4 dimes for the hood. I worked pretty slow. About 5-6 minutes per panel keeping it damp with XMT's Pad Condtioner. Man, this stuff have amazing work time. Took out any and all swirls and left one of the softest finishes I've ever seen from a polish. No dusting and came off very, very easy.

Liquid Souveran...2 Coats Please!

(EDGE2K Blue Finishing Pad with a #3 PC setting. Removed by PC and White Finishing Pad at a #5 setting.)

This is the only wax that will turn black into gold! I could have stopped at one coat but I wanted to make sure and get full coverage. Buffing it off each time with the PC and pad really brought out the shine. To me, this is due to the heat that is generated. There is absolutely no dust and no difficulty in removing this wonderful wax.

Meguiar's Super Degreaser

(Engine bay, tires, and wells)

Armor All Tire Foam

(Engine bay, tires as a precleaner/ treament, and in the wheel wells)

Armor All Tire Gel

(Tires and trim)

Stoner's Tarminator

(Used on bugs and tar. This stuff should be in any detailer's toolbox....errr bucket!)

Stoner's Invisible Glass

(Exterior glass and chrome)

Befores....

Very nice work. I love the Denali trucks as I used to own a GM Fullsize. I've been checking out your work and I'm impressed. By your truck I'm guessing it's a fulltime thing, or are you just doing it on the side?

Thanks for the compliments. Yep, this is fulltime for me. Started back in March. Only wish I had earlier!!!

I agree with your experience with the new OP, it has an incredible work time and it really shows, the truck looks immaculate, awesome job once again  :woohoo:

First of all, gorgeous detail as usual.

But, I have a question. What makes this truck any different/better than any Silverado or GMC? Appearance wise (minus the rims) it looks just like one to me. Is it the interior, or better engine? Just curious. :)

*** - 300???? I get laughed at and hung up on when I quote that for a three step polish, two step wax, full interior shampooing!!!!!

looks good though.

6.0 Motor, Projector Headlights, different bumper and grille. Nicer interior. I don't know if that one has it but some come with QuadraSteer (all wheels turn).

:think2 Well you're in California so competition must be pretty nasty over there. I keep contemplating whether or not its worth it to start up here in Chicago, I know there is very few quality shops or car wash spots, but most people are fine with the 10 minute $12 Hand "Wash" places around here, and Kouba only charges 225 for a complete detail. Kind of low if you ask me, he's been features in both of Chicago's big newspapers. Kind of hard for me to compete with that.

I just finished working on my dads 2005 Denail truck, his was worse, he tries to use his as a work truck on the construction jobs.

Great work.

The ones with Quadrasteer have roof lights on them.

Nice work!

So, the plastic inside the engine bay were treated with the Armor All tire Shine?

How durable is it when used on the engine bay?

Thx-Goose
