Mobile Detailing Services
Ok. It's been a really busy week. This one was done on Monday. I did 6 wash/vacs on Tuesday and 3 full details for a new client today. I'm wore slap out! This one is owned by the wife of a good client of mine. She's been in Florida for the last month selling their home while he was up here finishing up on their new one. He said that this wouldn't be that bad since it was fulle detailed about 4 weeks ago. Yeah right! There was wax everywhere. The engine bay was untouched. Swirl city was not on the map.......it was on the car! He just wanted it cleaned good since they are going to trade it next week for the new Chrysler Aspen.

By the way, if you see white dots in the pics, that's snow. The high was 41*!!!

God I can't wait till detail fest!!!!

Optimum's Poli-Seal (75%) and Polish (25%) Combo

(Used EDGE2K Yellow Cutting Pad at a #5 PC setting)

Since this is just gonna be a trade in, I just wanted to further my experiment of Poli-Polish! This combo has amazing cut and finish down smoother than either of the two alone. There is no dust and no difficulty removing it. There is though depth and a high gloss. This was a single step. No other LSP was used in the detailing of this ride.

Other Products Used:

Meguiars Detailer Line Super Degreaser

(4:1 on engine, tires, and wells)

Meguiars Detailer Line APC

(10:1 on interior sufaces, leather, and mats)

Meguiars Detailer Line Wheel Brightner

(4:1 on wheels. Let sit for 2 minutes per wheel and brushed)

Armor All Tire Foam

(Tires and wells. Let sit for 5 minutes and wiped clean with MF mitt)

Armor All Tire Gel

(Applied with supplied applicator)

Pinnacle's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner

(First time I've used this. Made the leather soft and subtle again. Gave it that nice new-car smell. Also cleaned what the APC didn't. Dry to a matte finish....not greasy at all. The leather was the first thing notice when the customer opened the door! Well worth the price.)

Very nice :up That mix seems to be working fine.

Imo, that knob on the front seats for the seatbelt really isn't pretty.

The paint looks very rich and deep in the afters. :wow:

Like you, I am amazed at the results from Poli-Seal. Halfway to 3 months (which would be excellent durability for a 1 step product) now on some of my regulars cars and so far, so good. The appearance is holding up well too.

Hey justin great detail, you have really gain some terrain on the detailing business lately. Can I know your process to work polishes in by PC. I'm just amazed by the impressive results in such a short time. :goodjob

Great work Justin! Is this the place you were at when I talked to you on the phone the other day? It looks like you do a ton of work for these people!

That was a great turn around, very inspirational :goodjob

I also have some questions:

Did the yellow pad really make a difference, and if so do you think you would have done just as of a good job using the same combo but with a orange pad (i not sure what color it is for edge)

I'm doing some research on techniques and also on pad usage mainly the yellow pad.

Hey, great turnaround.

Ive got a CTS as well, Im curious about the Pinnacle leather combo. I'm using the wolfgang combo, have you used this? It leaves a nice matte finish, softnes the leather, but I find the leather is pretty squeaky for a couple days after. Maybe thats just cheap GM leather? I'm getting low on my conditioner and Im curious to try pinnacle's.

2 thumbs down to the fake wood appliques on the dash.

Wow!

What LC pad is that Yellow Edge pad comparable to? Logic has me thinking that the abrasives in the OP would eat up the sealant properties of the OP but you're shots clearly show otherwise.

Like some of the others, I'd like to see or hear more about your PC process, that panel looks superb after only 4 minutes.

EDGE's most agressive pad is the yellow used here. OPS is not very aggressive so I wanted to see what it would do with a more aggressive pad. You never know till you try. It worked and finished down nicely even with this pourous pad.

The Pinnacle leather cleaner/conditioner leaves the leather very soft and factory like. Within an hour I could tell that it was really conditioning and working on the leather. The smell was of a new car as well. It would be a purchase worth considering. I'm happy.

I probably move faster than some here with the PC. I go up down....side to side....then diagonal. I lay alot of the work on the pads. EDGE's pads just work great for me and my technique. I apply enough pressure to bog the PC and then back off just a little. One thing I can't stress enough is clean pad and keeping them moist so they can work.

Thanks! I like that pinnacle is good to use wiht your hands, I prefer applying conditioner with my hands, I find the leathers a littler softer.

^^^About your post above, when you say youre keeping the pad moist, are you talking about just a small squirt of water on the pad? That doesnt affect the polish/compound etc?

The only sad part about this detail - the dealership will ruin it. I'm willing to bet they will "buff" the car when it arrives.

Yeah, with their wash brush and bucket of sand water! I know I'll probably get to re-detail it later in it's life.
