Detailed 2000 Firebird...

YNOT

Poorboys Rules!
This was a car for one of my wifes co-workers. He said he never had time to clean his car so he wondered if I'd do it for him...obviously I said yes.

Here's what I did...

Washed
Claybarred
PB SSR2.5
PB SSR1
PB EX

And here are the pics..

Hope you all like it. This one was trouble for me. No matter what I tried on the paint I could not remove the swirls. I only had the car for 6 hours while he was at work so it didn't give me much time and more than anything he wanted the interior done.

I was really happy with the car overall...just couldn't do much for the paint.

The customer was absolutely thrilled with it though as it shined like it never had since the day he bought it.

good work Tony... sometimes the abuse can only be repaired so much with a pc ...either way he should be thrilled as that was pure "abuse" to a Firebird :yikes:

With only six hours to work with there was no way you had enough time. That interior was in bad shape. I'm sure the owner was happy with the outcome. You done a great job.

Nice work...that interior was in sad shape, especially that center console...

Nice turnaround:bigups

Nice job on the interior. I wonder what is up with F body ovners and smoking. I think every one that I've seen looks crusty like that.

This was a very dramatic change. Nice shine on the black paint. Swirls are more frustrating to the detailer than they are to an owner.

I especially liked the wheel shot. GOOD WORK!!

Tony
Nice work on the car overall, the inside looks like a few that I have done...that's where the air compressor comes in handy!

Don't beat yourself up over the swirls they can be real hard to remove...a rotary in most all cases is necessary IMO...I'm sure that the owner was more than happy with the results!

Thanks for the 'kudos' guys. Yeah...for the most part...most people aren't so picky with their cars. To them, if it shines and looks clean, they're satisfied...they don't really look 'into' the paint...they look 'at' it. I, like most of you, look into the paint and see all the swirling and haziness and it drives me absolutely nuts.

It just frustrates me because I couldn't get the black looking more swirl-free. I know I'm an amateur, but it still frustrates me.:wall

I'm so used to working on my cars and I keep them clean enough that it takes very little effort to get the swirls out and it looks near perfect...but the few cars I've done were so neglected that it makes it hard to 'bring them back to perfect'.

Anyway...thanks for the compliments. Any of you near St. Louis that you can give me a little guidance with perfecting my skills with this PC...let me know! I'd appreciate a real pro giving me some pointers.

:thanks

Sure David...see you then! Ha! Actually...I've got another car to do this Saturday. My wife's boss saw what I did with this Firebird and referred her cousin to me with her Mustang.

So...looks like it's gonna be another busy Saturday!:rockon

Funny thing...I found so much change in this car...the guy took it home and counted it...he had over $13.00 in there! Not to mention enough french fries to almost make a happy meal.:wow:

Tony you can also stop by our new facility, Patrick holland just loves coming down here to work on black Firebirds :lol2:
