thanks to you good people on this forum i polished and wax my car for the first time with great results :heelclick but......... my neighbour saw the job i did and ask me to polish & wax his car however he has a soft top which has a plastic rear window which is a very dirty, my local car place can not get hold of any type of soft top window cleaner unless i want to buy a grate load at a time, so would normal glass cleaner & polish work or is there any home made stuff i could use on it. thanks in advance.

I would use a mild swirl remover or light polish by hand and follow behind with a nice carnauba wax. It will work better than anything you can buy at a store. Be careful not to get any on the top or it will stain and be sure to use a microfiber towel so it will not scratch the window.

I used Meguiars Mirror Glaze clear plastic polish #10 and clear plastic cleaner #17 on the plastic covering my guages. I thought that it was ruined but these made it invisible to the eye after cleaning and polishing. I've also used these on headlight covers, tail lights, and my cell phone screen, all with good results.

I'm not sure how it would work on the soft top window but wouldn't be very expensive to try. Goodluck!
