Detail Training this week..

This week my brother is in town with his new ride, a *BLACK* 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. This is his first car that he is paying for all by himself. He had a Wrangler and a F-150 before this but those were cars that were given to him to drive. Now he's buying his first car on his own and he's taking care of it real well. He's living in a townhouse where he has access to water and stuff so he can take care of it unlike the college places he's lived in before with the other cars. He put some 18" chrome rims on it so he def has to take care of those. Anyways back to the reason for this post. He's in town for Thanksgiving and he wants to DETAIL his car for the winter. So this week I'm going to help him detail his car and show him how to use my PC. He thinks one of those cheap orbitals from Walmart works great!! hahaha, yes I am ashamed to say he's my brother. His car is in great shape considering it was a lease that someone turned back in after 10k miles. The last time I saw it about a month ago, it was SWIRL FREE. I dont know if the dealership detailed it after it was turned back in or what. Even after my bro has washed it and stuff its still SIWRL FREE from what I could see today. So I think we are going to do the following:

Wash
Clay if necessary
PB SSR1 via polishing pad with PC
PB EX via finishing with PC
---sit for a little while then remove and wait a little while---
Natty's or NXT, probably NXT because thats what he likes and I need to finish it up to make room for new Christmas presents :)
PB wheel sealant on the chrome rims (he will be taking them off in the next couple of weeks for winter driving)
Normal interior cleaning, clean/condition leather

*I'm hoping he gets some winter floormats so he doesn't ruin the carpet floor mats

Anyways, I will take before and afters and post them whenever we do it. Tuesday we are going golfing so it will be either tomorrow or wednesday depending on the weather

i wouldnt use NXT becuase it would probably take off the EX, go with Nattys, not to mention it looks better and lasts longer

hi rubigdog,

hmmm....i recommend not using NXT either on your bro's car. i read on some post here that NXT has cleaners and the cleaner will definitely take off the EX. plus, EX is better than NXT, NXT doesnt provide protection for very long.

poorboys products are really good and i recommend topping the EX with poorboys nattys. wait 24hrs for the EX to cure after applying it and then apply nattys.

if you want really good interior care, check out the poorboys natural look which is a really good product for the interior. i have it and i recommend it to anyone who wants a good interior care product.
