Finished my Mothers UWS detail... and despite the swirls/spiderwebs, I had a photog buddy of mine do a simple shoot since she's nice and shiny...

Awsome Saleen. Is that a REAL Saleen??? I ask because that front bumper is not an original saleen front bumper, it is and after market one. Also upgrade those brakes to some cobra brakes and that will really set that car off!

That's the #1 most asked question. Yeah it's real... and the front bumper is real. It has "SALEEN" embossed on the inside of the bumper. Tho the car was involved with a "confrontation" with maybe a high curb or something before i took ownership. The Front bumper has seen better days...

As for brakes, i was thinking of going with some Brembo's... eventually.

Next time I get up there to see my MIL in Roseville I will send you a PM we can hook up and I can get an eye on that paint for you:D

That'd be awesome! It's really bothering me... lol

especially under fluorescent lights... terrible spiderwebbing and swirls/scratches... I'm beginning to think it was me :wall somewhere in my application process... i screwed up. I really doubt this many problems were hidden under preexisting crud... :(

I have seen where once you clean the paint, you really see what has been hidden by what is below. Clean paint only makes swirls look worse -- been there, done that.

Once you start polishing paint, then you will discover orange peel which is something car makers include for nothing. Nicely polished paint will make orange peel is even more obvious.

You will find out about your real technique once you polish the paint. If you monitor the paint condition during every step, you may find if you have any finishing technique issues: mf towels, applicators, etc.
