Detail on a 03 SL55AMG.. SWEET

did this detail on a sl55amg with maya (20's) wheels... sick car... client is a good guy as well. anyways, this car hasnt been washed since he last drove it.. which i have no idea when that was, but i do wash his other cars for him for the past year, and have not washed this one at all.. so i wonder how long its been sitting in the garage unwashed??? as it turns out, after the wash and clay (car was filthy, covered in black dust and sand???), that the car had minor swirls if not any which i attribute to never being washed. lol. i received my first shipment of poorboys products, so if u think the ssr1, and pwc may seem redundant, its because it was just trying the pwc out, i dont think i really needed it after using the ssr1 though. well the process:

exterior:
-nxt car wash
-mothers gold clay
-poorboys ssr 1
-poorboys pwc
-poorboys ex
-poorboys nattys
-poorboys bnb on tires

interior:
-oxiclean on carpets
-poorboys natural look on everything on dash, consoles, as well as on leather seats
-1z glass cleaner on glass

Great job on the detail but IMO those are the ugliest wheels I seen mounted on a car till this date. AMG 65 edition 19" staggerd wheels would look so much better.

thanks about the detail job... and yeah i figured the wheels would be either u love them or hate them, as it turns out i love them tho, kinda remind me of past mercedes wheels... but you're right the amg65 wheels are sick, especially with the bolted pattern look...

Looks very nice:bigups I like the wheels, but i guess it could take some getting use to.:dunno
Bummer on the bent one..I bet they are really expensive to replace:eek
So what did the owner think of the detail? How did you like the products?

thanks. yeah the bent one sucks, and i was pissed when i was detailing it (i knew it would look stupid in the pictures). he'll probably end up getting a new set of wheels anyway.. who knows.. i guarantee they are expensive though, cause i know mercedes sells them through their dealerships so, they have to cost alot.

the owner ended up picking the car up at 6pm, so it was dark out... i was really mad cause ive done all his other cars, and he always pics them up at night.. i swear hes nocturnal. i wish he could have seen it during the day because i wanted some feedback on it, since i was trying out new products. hopefully he'll take a look @ it today, unless its already in the garage under a car cover?? i love all the products i used from you. oh yeah, i got them early morning on friday :) i would probably end up using poorboys products just because all of them smell so good especially the spray & wipe, as well as the Natural look... almost like some sort of punch. i guess its an added benefit that they really work as claimed, and im and quite happy with them, though i still have a lot more to try out on the next car i do...

Very beautiful pictures and excellent detail. I still can't get on Autopia (since wednesday) and waiting for David to get back to me, but here I can reply.

I love the wheels.

Super Job...great photos too...nice angles...I think that makes a big dif. on the pic detail...

a bit overkill on the process, but the results really show it! sweet job, and sweet car. thats the same car that my dentists drives. great job!!!!

tdekany:thanks.. yeah i keep having problems with getting on autopia?? oh well... yeah i really like the wheels especially on that car.. i think they go with the lines and shape well...

Tarios: thanks.. i try to take a lot of pics to capture different lighting and reflections...

zesty-man: thanks... the reason for the overkill was stated in the first paragraph in the last sentence. thanks for the compliments though

RENNtech monolight 20's or AMG 65 editon 19's or a nice HRE wheel. Those wheels just look to bulky and to full make it feel kind of ghetto. The detail job was supurb so is the car but the wheels could be changed. Thats just my preference.

Did you do anything to the leather. ?

yeah.. all i did was poorboys natural look
thats all it needed
you're right about the hre wheels.. i love any wheel made my hre, if i could afford them id get some for my car
:shift

thanks... no this is another guy who i am friends with that lives up the street.. in the 3rd pic u can see the guys how with the black cl and exotics.. i used to do his cars but not anymore, because he is a complete ***hole. really pissed me off bad. but besides that, the oxi clean is working good... u should have seen carpets (no before pics)... he is having a house built in smithtown, and the carpets had all kinds of sand, gravel, dirt, and soda embedded in them.. i think they turned out good... on the doors there is a glove box like storage compartment, and when i opened the passenger one, i could have sworn there was a miniature beach in there.. i mean there was enough sand to make 10 scoops with the oxiclean scooper. :brick

did somebody say beach? agaian, really nice job, ill have to try some of that stuff on my own silver car :).

actually im pretty sure the sand is from where his house is being built (it might be overlooking the water though.. im not sure)... regardless, all of long island is sand!!! it sucks
