Detail King

Aside from being hard to knead and being thick, does it work well at removing contaminents ? Does it remove more than their medium bar ?

yea it does remove pretty much any thing that it comes across.. i still have half of my heavy duty bar left becasue there hasent been many cars that needed it. the medium is more than enough to handle most instances. but i would give both a try. also they are big clay bars so they last a good while depending on the jobs you do with them. also they come in a nice plastic case.

Thanks for the info ! I was looking at the tri-bar kit (which includes one of each type), so I'm thinking of giving that a try.

Before I was interduced to this forum, I tried their foam pad glaze, final touch ultra, whiitewall cleaner and much more.

As my clientele gets more higher end i will continue to use their products.

the foam pad glaze is great haze ant switl remover even with the pc7424xp

And just to say I will never turn to anothe spray detail product other than their final touch ultra ( blows fk425 and others alike away)

Thanks for trying our products out we really appreciate it. As for the comment that our products are "re labled" is not accurate. We actually have a private blending company formulate our products to our specifications and have been doing it this way for several years. The product that you writing about we do purchase in a concentrated form and then reduce it so is can be made available to the consumer. Once we reduce it and re package it - it is impossible to receive a bottle with the Tops all label on it. We get one lable on our concentration mix. I did not realize that Topps All sold to the public in a non concentrated form. Appreciate the news. Hope you have a good Spring detailing season.

Thank you for the nice words about the products. Yes our Final Touch Ultra is one of our top movers and our Foam Pad Glaze is also a popular polish and glaze in one. Have a great upcoming Summer detailing season!

Thanks for using our products and I'm happy that you are very pleased with them. The Vibra Cut II is a heavy duty clear coat compound that is only used in very rare instances when the clear coat needs major paint correction due to deep scratches and heavy acid rain or oxidation. For best results follow up with Spyder Web Glaze to remove any micro scratches or micro marring that the Vibra Cut II may have caused during the paint leveling process. The Vibra Cut Lite may be a better choice, it is a medium duty paint leveler and should actually buff to a shine. Please don't hesitate to call us with any questions. Thanks again!

this is the part i dont get.. why make things so complicated.. vibra cut II.. the spider web glaze..then polish.... then wax..

i read and read on these forums and see some detailers having a long process for restoring a paint job... i use one product.. one pad for correction.. left with no swirls.. so i seal the thing with some megs 21 and call it a day.. when i first started i fell into the hype about having to use all these products and special pads.. now all those pads and products i spent good money on are collecting dust in my garage... again just my 2 cents.. i worked hard and studied hard on finding a style to cut my time down and give me better results...

finally i added my last piece to the puzzle.. the flex.. now with the products im using and the flex machine.. there is not stopping me and my customers can see it and come back to me..i can also charge my customers a fair price because i dont have a crap load of products and bills i need to pay for.

im not tooting my own horn here.. because i will be honest.. i would never be who i am today if it wasnt of the professionals on autopia and other forums.

i feel detail king just took my money.. anyone want detail kings left over products of mine.. been trying to sell them on craigslist but no takers.

And im not bashing you Nick V… or their customer service.. they were great with that and delivering their orders in a timely manner. .. but I just feel that my ignorance was taken advantage of in the beginning.

So what you're saying is that everyone that does more then one step in polishing is wasting their time???

There is not 1 polish and 1 pad combo that will cure every car out there. This makes me question the type of work you put out.

I am not saying their wasting their time… but im just saying it does not seem as complicated as some people make it.. I think most of the stuff out there on the market is just for show and try to bring in sales.. I have not touched any compound product in several months because the results I am achieving… when I was using the detail kings products and using various pads I questioned my own work because I was not satisfied with my results. I wanted perfection for my peace of mind and to give my customers better quality… as for my type of work I will let the pics speak for themselves ..again im not bashing anyone’s process.. just trying to help others who are having questions like the person who started this thread..i was in his shoes and now have regrets about spending money on products that now just collect dust… wish I had some of that money now so I can apply it to more important things within my company….

What AIO polishing and scratch product are you using? From your post you use Megs 21 as a seal?

Thanks!
