Demon to be exorcised ?!?!?!?!?!?!

Guys, I know I`m late to the party and I`m not knocking any of these machines but you do remember that when it comes to limited production cars that the Shelby 1000 has been around for a while right? Granted these were a made to order vehicle but I think they actually made a version of it when using the Trinity platform and went from the 5.4L to the 5.8L with 1250 HP. This all said, given the nature of the aftermarket, I`m interested to see what they`ll do with the Demon once the "Henessey`s" of the world get a hold of it.

A Kawasaki ZX-14r runs the 1/4 in 9.7 seconds stock for $14k, low 9`s with bolt ons and gets into the 8`s easily.

Honestly I hope most of the demons end up as garage queens. I shudder to think what will happen after some rich dude binge watches a season of Street Outlaws on discovery and then writes a check for a demon and takes it out on the street for the first time.

ok so that`s like comparing cherries to watermelons, lol

I`m always impressed by the bikes out at the track, I even saw a chopper roll of the line and cut a 12.3 at 120+

Maybe as part of the sales contract there should be included a pre-paid driving school for the buyer----not specifically for the buyers protection but for ours.

They do include a free day of driving school at Bonderaunt but I don`t think it`s primary focus is safety. ;) Seriously though, I`m sure they do have a healthy portion of the class dedicated to not killing someone.

They used to call stuff like this "Doctor killers", but now anybody with a credit rating can "drive" `em.

[came back to EDIT with those scare-quoters around "drive" ]

Wonder how good the `vette school is...experience has made me cynical about many Driving Schools, although something is certainly better than nothing as long as the student doesn`t come home thinking "gee, I`m immortal now!", which is how I always felt after a class at Bondurant.

IF Pontiac were around, that would be the show vehicle they (GM) would have built.
Kudos to Trans-Am Worldwide to engineer and produce it. Yes, it`s that much "different" than a Camaro

hennessey can make just about any car into a hp1000 package

for 60 grand or so they will make my Challenger have a thousand horsepower
I agree. Chevy doesn`t make factory car to compete, Copo and Cobra jet aren`t street legal. Hennessey isn`t what it used to be, Google all the problems. I got to work on Hennessey Challenger had to put 2 pistons in it and have it tuned. I was surprised at lack of detail and mediocre work specially for the price. I spent last Thursday an Friday working at friends speed shop, well known is modern Mopar world for his work.

I`ve been to SRT track experience twice, haven`t been to bondurant racing school yet. Most of my racing is straight line in my Mopars.
