Deep Gashes in my Jag! The horror!

I was parked and an SUV in the parking lot across from me had a board the owner build out of lumber and metal screws too long for the wood on top of the SUV. The wind was strong that day and blow the board off his SUV and racked the hood on my Jag. Huge gashes, not just scratches.

His insurance is taking care of it, but still... the horror!

That bites but at least his insurance is picking up the tag, in my parking lot ding the guy just drove off

I love oppurtunitys like this. I always come out smelling like a rose on these insurance claims :popcorn

Right, no one was hurt so that is a good thing. Hopefully body shop will go a great job, because I know my UDM isn't going to buff those gashes out!

There is a dent in one spot and a couple of the scratches are very deep.

Sorry to hear that Reddwarf, my dent was from my room mate who was driving with no insurance and drunk, Kind as I am I didn't have him thrown in jail and am reluctantly tollerating the $150 per year payment plan from him. But it's a Buick, not a Jag. I feel your pain.

You are a good man, sir!

RedDwarf, sorry to hear about the event. Hopefully all will be restored to an "as before" condition. Just a royal pain to deal with things like this. Maybe things will go as smoothly as possible.

TD, I agree with RedDwarf, you are a kind and understanding soul to tolerate such nonsense with a generous attitude. Hats off to you. :bigups Maybe your room mate learn a lesson and mend his/her errant ways and repay you on a more realistic schedule.

No, thats not how I roll :bonk:

What I was saying is that from that pic, I would imagine I could get 2k+ out of the agency. Then turn around and have a biz associate do it for $600 or so

Why not charge $600 for $600 work?

Dave that dent to you "is like a sand speck size dimple to a ROLLS ROYCE owner" The way you keep your car its a shame at any cost. Anyone that takes pride in there ride hates to see anything happen to the finish period. Sorry guys to hear ya both had a mishap, its not fun when someone has to suffer because other people don't care or have no idea what they are doing.:wall
