Deep Finish Products

What pad did you use to apply it?

I am going to use a foam app. or use a blue pad via pc next time I use it. I used a MF applicator before and it was a tough to put it on thin, but did come off easy.

Can't wait to see your C&B tomorrow.

What were your thoughts on the product?

I experienced the same thing using an MF app. I put too much on and did not want to come off easy. I was told to use a foam app to apply and it should be easier. The areas that did go on thin came off with great ease. I really want to try the deep chrome and deep detail spray.

Put it on with a foam megs pad. It is much better and goes on easier. You have to let it sit on for 45 min. and it will come off very easy.

The chrome and aluminum polishes are the best I have tried. Very easy to use and it removes a lot of oxidation. It also leaves a polymer protection behind as well that sheets water excellent.

I have talked to the owner of the company a few times regaurding the cure time and he is a wicked cool guy who knows his stuff.

Sorry about the bump Ryan, but could you please tell me what said the owner about the curing time?

Thank you my friend. :bow

No problem my friend. It's been a while since I have used it.

You put the first coat on and let it set up for 30-45 minutes.

Take off and let the paint sit for 1 hour to cure.

Apply second coat and let set up for another 30 minutes

Take off and let the paint cure for 1 hour

Put on third coat and wait 30 min. and then remove.

Durability was a few months with no qd's and just a few washes. Looks great but durability was just ok, but nothing great.

When I first tried the product, I was seriously amazed at the depth it produced. As deep as any carnuaba wax, IMO. However, the durabilty was dismal at best, maybe a month in Florida.

I was very amazed at the depth too, but durability was nothing special. So it didn't like the hot sun?

Remember my girlfriend's brother in law's Ford F350 that I did 50/50 with Deepswax and Zaino? I went over there for Christmas and looked at it and the Deepswax was dead after a couple months. The Zaino side is still glowing and sheeting. Spring time I have to do the truck anyway after the heavy abuse he had put it through anyway from all the plowing and salt. He enjoyed doing the test anyway though.

He however does like the chrome and aluminum polish though.

Yeah, the sun killed it. I still have some on part of my new car, but it didn't make it past 3 weeks or so.... I was really excited by this product and the hype...

The resins like heat, blah blah blah, but in the end it was hype. Great looking, but with no durability to speak of, a difficult product to remove and apply, etc..

Oh well, maybe next time :(

Well I guess DeepFinish should have stuck to the Chrome polish (which is amazing) because SWAX proves just because you can make metal look good doesn't mean you know anything about paint... JMO though.

Yup, I have a full bottle of Deepswax that I will probably never use again. I used it on my girlfriends SUV and on a Porsche and it died off around the 3 month mark. It looked really good when it was freshly applied, but diminished pretty quickly. It's too bad.

I wonder how this would be Polycharged? I've never used Polycharger before.

I had the same experience. The Swax looked great when first applied, but it was gone after a couple of months.

I still think the Chrome polish is one of the best made though.

Interesting idea about the Polycharger. I think I saw that it was on sale somewhere . . .

Hahaha...that's funny.

His old formula from MetalMasters was awesome! It's now sold under Britemax's label. Try that if you want real power metal polish and metal sealant.

Maybe deep finish should give the gang at Ultra 2000 MFG a call. If you want durability, there stuff is the bees knees. They should sell that instead.

I guess I'm the oddman out here, I didn't think Deepfinish Chrome was very good at all.. I thought Zaino All In One did a much better job overall in my tests...Mine is collecting dust..
