Deep Finish deep-swax

Hey guys. I'm interested in getting some Deep swax from DeepFinish. How's the wax? Would you compare it to another product on the market? Hows the durability? Ease of use?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to get some ideas about this. It looks like a pretty good product.

Looks amazing, doesn't last very long, IMO.

Beading falls off after about 2 months pretty steeply (at least compared to my Zaino side).

The look is very carnuaba, and it does get better with each coat (amazingly layerable, with a noticable difference between coats).

Use a foam pad and spread it thin, otherwise its difficult to remove.

I haven't used it a whole lot, but it looked really nice on the few vehicles I did get to use it on. It is deep looking for a sealant that can be layered and looks the best after 3 coats. It is a little harder to apply than most products, but not difficult by any means. I had luck using a foam applicator pad. You must apply it thin andd let each coat dry for at least 45 minutes before removing. It wipes off pretty easy. It is a tad dusty when removing, but not a big deal.

As for the durability, it seems to be holding up fairly well on my girlfriends vehicle. I'm not sure, but I think it's been a few months sice it was applied and it still showing signs of protection. The water tends to sheet more than bead up. There are probably better, longer lasting products for the same price IMO.

Here is a black Porsche I did using Deep swax: http://autopia.org/forum/click-brag/100447-06-porsche-911-c4-basalt-black.html?highlight=deepswax

Todd,

Have you ever tried applying Deepswax over Zaino? I'm curious to see how it would look. I might have to try it on a future detail.

Todd and Rick,

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping both of you would chime in and give your opinion. You both do some spectacular work. Looks like i'm gonna give it a try.

Thanks again.

No problem Heath!

You should also pick up some of the Deep Chrome. I have not used it yet, but I heard it was pretty amazing stuff as well as their spray wax.

Rick,

Thanks for the heads up on the Deep Chrome. They look like some nice quality products. I'll get some ordered after the new years.

I used allof there products and the deep chrome is my favorite. The aluminum polish is superb for aluminum.

The deepswax looked great at first but only lasted for a couple of months. I did a friends truck back in September half with Deepswax and the other half with Zaino. The Deepswax slickness is gone and it is semi-protecting. The Zaino side is looking superb with great beading and sheeting still.

On Ryan's and Todd's advice I ordered the aluminum polish and deep chrome. I really like the deep chrome and the aluminum polish is not bad either.

Deep Chrome is a great product. I have Swax as well but have very limited experience with it at this point.

How did you like it the few times you used it Mikey??

Actually my experience so far with Swax is limited to applying it to one wheel of my car one time. It did go on and come off easy though and the shine was nice.
