De-Winterization 2005 BMW E60 5 series

Decided to take advantage of the warmer weather to de-winterize my BMW. I pressure washed the entire under carriage and engine bay to remove salt. The rest of the process was pretty basic. Clean wheels with Meguiars Wheel Brighter 4:1 and pressure wash (I also used a spoke brush and Meguiars APC 4:1 to clean the inside of the wheel). Next was spray down wheel wells with Wheel brightner (yes it works like a APC) and pressure wash. Afterwards I just washed with Meguiars Hyperwash and followed with Meguiars Finial Detail. Tires were dressed with Eagle One WET gel, and wheel wells were dressed with Meguiars Hyper Dressing 1:1. I didn't take many pictures during the detail because my camera batteries died (ain't that a xxxxx), but I did take a few before and after pictures. Enjoy...

Also, I removed some nasty road grime and tar with WD40 prior to washing. There was some sort of grease bugur type looking stuff all over the driver side door and rear fender.

Very nice :).

You let her get dirty, eh?
Unfortunetly yes, the winter here is terrible, and I very rarely got a chance to do some washing. What I did do frequently was pressure wash the salt away, spray down the wheels with wheel brightner, and just use the foam spray from my Karcher with Gold Class. Gold class and wheel brightner did a pretty good job of cleaning off the salt, and grime. But the car was still dirty... I went all out this time and pressure washed the under carriage to remove any left over salt and grime. Next detail will be removing all swirls!
