DCers - What kind of stereo equipment do you have in your vehicles?

Zesty: A noticeable one. Stereos are HUUUGE here on Long Island. Most of my friends have some sort of "bass" in their trunk. Sometimes it rediculously overpowering, but for the most part, very worth it.

Little update...My friend was getting rid of his car and stereo equipment, so I was able to take a lightly used Pioneer DEH-P6300 off of him for only $50...It was only missing the mounting sleeve which I just picked up from a local car stereo shop for $10 + plus a $15 Acura wiring kit adapter. For $75, I'm not complaining :)

well what i have is in my sig. I like it but i need a bigger amp. i dont think its putting out enough power. I got alpine speakers in all the doors now too.

sounds good. not to much bass but not to lil either

i was looking into rockford fosgate subs and amps, or maybe audiohbahn. the thing is, i dont really wanna chance my speakers because they are already bose..... will bose speakers work with rockford subs and amp?

anything will work...its all in what you want it to sound like. i have left stock speakers in my car before and it sounded fine but when i put some more expensive lets say alpine or JL speakers in lets just say u can tell the diffrence.

You should be ok, but make sure the speakers can handle the power the amp puts out RMS.

I just installed my Pioneer deck...I really can't believe how much better it sound...Amazingly more clear :)

Can't wait for the BASssssss

Stock BOSE - 6 disc changer system - wish I had the dvd-a 5.1 in the new Tl's but I can wait till 2006 when my lease is up :lol

just look at my signature and you will see I am a RF fan! Go ahead and get a wiring kit for about 20-30 bucks. Wal mart actually sells a good one for the money , but then again there are tons on ebay that are better quality. For that amp you will need a 40 amp inline fuse 18" from the battery. 10 gauge wire should be enought, but 4 gauge is so cheap you could go for that and incause you ever upgrade in the future you are safe. Sounddomain.com has the RF he rockford sub for 49.00. Thats a steal. I am thinking about picking up 3 of them. Good luck if you have any questions you can email me at [email protected]. I will give you my honest opinion.

GreenMachine: I have 1/0 Guage throughout already and a 150amp in-line circuit breaker. :)

if you are getting that small of a amp then you need to change the amps on the circuit breaker. 150amp's probably will not protect you if something happens to any connections or the amp.

IMO if you have the cash go ahead and get a 4 channel amp and a sub amp. Once you run the subwoofer your highs and mids will be drounded not matter how big or little the sub you are getting is.

wow my green machine, i see you really like rockford forsgate...... maybe we can talk a little more about it :). im seriously thinking of getting rockford for my car, my friends tell me its good

i was also wondering, do you think that changing up my stereo system and speakers/subs etc etc would void my warranty with BMW.
