Dawn Power Dissolver

I'm not sure if I already posted in this thread... but at any rate, it is definitely awesome stuff! Thanks agian, yakky.

It's basically the only thing able to cut through Collinite on my foam applicator pad. Left those pads super clean, almost brand new.

Just to let you guys know, I found it at my local super wal-mart

Glad to help. Honestly, its was pure luck as usual.:p

This seems to be a good product, but you do go thru quite a bit of it to clean pads. I've gone thru the better part of 2 of my 3 bottles. Glad it's not too expensive.

My first post :wavey

Has anybody been able to find Dawn Power Dissolver in Canada specifically in the Toronto, GTA area?

I've searched all the grocery stores and Wal-Mart and all I've found was EZ-off power degreaser which may or may not be as good as Dawn Power Dissolver with Zanio...

I find that two or 3 sprays with hot water does a great job of cleaning the pads, how much are you using?

Nope...

I've been using ____ Power Degreaser. I think it is ez-off or something like that. Works good at cleaning Menz polishes and Z2pro.

Power Dissolver works great, but you do have to use quite a bit of it to make it work. It's rough on the brain cells also!

After reading this thread I had to stop by Wal-Mart and pick up a bottle. Here are the results.

I always buy mine at the local Walmart, 4-5 bottles at a time. I also found out after using it for months that you don't have to drowned the pad for it to work, just spray a good coating on and let sit for 15 or so min.

Oh and check Walmart online to see what stores carry it in stock before heading out, might save you a trip!

Yea that NXT stuff is pretty hard to clean out. I used the CG Pad Rej. and still I have to run it with warm water and give it like a good 20 squeeze for it to come clean.

This stuff is great for removing stubborn grit, I mixed a little of this with some dawn and used that to wash off caked on brake dust on my wheels, it worked wonderfully! Just be carefull, and I dont recommend using it on paint unless you wash it off immediately after.

I was under the impression that using a detergent for cleaning foam pads is a no no. Don't you think the Dawn is leaving something behind, or is that only with microfiber?

Thanks,

I hand wash my foam pads with Dawn dishwashing along with the power dissolver. Massage the soap into the pads real good. Then rinse well.
