i've bene looking for this thread. do you think it'll do the same to take out the Optimum Polish too?

It will take off any polish. If not then go with the DP Pad Rejuventor or Snappy Clean powder mix.

Anyone in the Northeast have success trying to buy this new DAWN product? I've been thru a couple of grocery stores and Walmart and have found nothing.

Thanks.

Yep my Walmart has it

it is next to the regular dawn

Yeah, I checked this AM...nothing to be had at Wall'sMart.

I spoke with a local grocery store and they claimed they used to have. The young man said it's discontinued.

Aubuchon Hdwe suggests they can order it but it will take several weeks.

Tom, since Wall Mart carries it, talk to the store manager and have some ordered in (you won't pay extra), they/he can do it. If he balks at doing it just say, "Well give me your name and I will call the main office and complain, and have it delivered to your store, in care of you". Then you can call me and I'll come and pick it up.

He'll get it for you without you doing anything. Don't tell anyone else I told you what to do though, keep it to yourself, LOL!

I went to the local grocery store this morning, and they had like 50 of them. I dont think they have stopped producing it.

Al, thanks very much for the offer. I scored this afternoon. You're not gonna believe this, but a little birdie (at P&G) told me to go to Brooks Pharmacy in Norwood :) They had 4 bottles. I left 1 for another Autopian ;) Price was $3.29.

Has anyone tried this stuff on dishes. I hope it works! :doh

Glad you found some...if you ever need some thing from the other side of the state..let me know....Us being so close you should get next day...

Kitchen cleaning power is impressive so far. This is the result of carmelizing a Vidalia onion for about an hour.

The power dissolver left the pan cleaner than I've seen it in a long time!

well, i used it today with the LC 6.5 flat pads (orange and white) and it worked awesome (had it for a while, but haven't had to use it till now)! i sprayed evenly around the whole bottom of the pads and let them sit/soak for about 20 minutes, then rinsed them out and it made short work of all the leftover polish/compound (regular apc & dishwash soap wasn't cutting it). well worth the few bucks and i will be buying this more often to clean my pads! :up

Yea this stuff rocks! Its recently made its way into my kitchen too! (along with some of my mf's)

The wife loves it!

This stuff's been out for a while now (couple of years or so), and the wife and I have used it in our kitchen with a lot of success. I'd never thought of incorporating it into the detailing arsenal though.

Looks like I'll have to pick up a few extra bottles for myself next time I'm up at Wal-Mart!

I've yet to use this on my pads as I find machine cleaning to work well for me, but I have used this on my tire swipe and the moment you spray it, all the gunk inside it starts oozing out. It's amazing how well this product works.

The best part of this though was when my wife asked me how I got one of her pans so clean. This is a small pan that we use in a small convection oven that we could never thoroughly get to be 100% clean. Because of this, it just kept getting worse and worse each time we used it because the heat from the oven baked it on even more.

This stuff got the pan completely clean! Mind you, I've gotten in trouble with the wifey before for not cleaning this pan well enough, so when I barely wiped it and everything was gone, I was shocked. The more amazing part is that normally I have to use the green, scrubby side but with this product, I've noticed it works better by using the sponge side to wipe it clean, instead of scrubbing.

Just be careful with what you use this on. I don't know what the heck is in it, but it's some powerful stuff. My wife loves this product now and tonight she gave it a try on our new stove top, which has some baked on stuff that's not wanting to come off. It is a glass top so she doesn't want to be too aggressive, so when she gave this product a try on the stove, it started to remove some of the painted on lettering on the glasstop. It states on the bottle too that you shouldn't use it on appliance lettering. Whoops! Luckily she only did a small test spot (she read the instructions, but she was still curious). If it was me, my dumb@ss would have sprayed the whole thing, let it sit, and went to town until nothing was left.

I have played around a little and found that even cutting the power disolver or dawn works fine..and easier to get soap out of the pads....

with the power disolver I use a 16oz sprayer with 1/3 of the bottle of power disolver and rest water..and it still cleans pads very good...so you can make 3 bottles of cleaner with 1 bottle of power disolver...

and with dawn I use 3 oz of dawn and rest water...and pads come very clean....

I just spray it on...knead it in a little ..let sit and wash them...comes out clean...
