ELD, take it easy will you?? Is there a need to continue discussing this subject? Also, if anyone is getting worked up over this subject, it is you. You've already brought the flames, my friend. There's no need to take our arguments against ABC so personally.

Also, there's no need to reiterate the same arguments for ABC which I've heard over and over on this forum (I'm sure you've heard all the arguments for Dawn and clay too). Do you think if you say it in the "flaming" fashion you just did, I'll listen better? Give me a break....

I'm not taking the ABC vs clay debate personally. What I take opposition to is the tunnel vision of the detailing gurus that only evolve when the majority of the entire forum accepts a new regime for finding that perfect shine. Then they will defend their new found regime to the death.

If it's all about learning then shouldn't you be trying the product in question or listening to a number of members who have. A few years back a small group of indivduals thought the world might be round only to be told they would fall of the edge if they sailed a ship.............................. :nixweiss

Every Little Detail,

Based on your previous posts, I know how much experience you have and I know how many cars you attack and make perfect via a high-speed buffer, so I give you props for that. :up

Also, your point is taken. Perhaps you are not referring to me when you talk about people with "tunnel vision" and others who "defend to the death" and have a "myopic flat view of the world". I hope not, because although I do offer a point of view that differs from the ABC route, I don't believe I was being that unreasonable. In fact, I do explicitly say that perhaps ABC works better than clay. I have my reasons for not using it and you have your reasons for not using clay. Simple as that.

Anyway, peace...... :xyxthumbs

Clay is a newer product than "ABC" type prep washes, and the preferred method for removing ferrite particles by all the OEM's. Those 2-3 step washing systems go back to when paint systems were much different than what they are today.

I'm into health food and I purchased this a year or so

ago for the house and forgot about it. Maybe this degreases

as good as Dawn without the clear coat aggressiveness of Dawn.

It says application :

1- Floors, walls, Cars 1 oz to a half gal of water.

Also says Dissolves: gum, ink, tar, grease, lipstick, etc.

when used full strength.

So I guess if we play with the proportion it may be a good

candidate for wax removal.

They only thing that scares me is this :

Note - Avoid contact with some plastics. May be damaging.

Did a search on Cita Solv. Never been discussed before on Autopia. Maybe never again. Lte's see. Anyone familiar with this

product.
