Hey guys, well, I guess I was long overdue for a swirled up car and this car was actually brought to me on Friday, and I had it over the weekend so I really had a chance to detail the car to my liking! The car was extremely dirty because the owner had recently taken the car on a road trip, but I forgot to take before shots, the interior was in "OK" shape, but it needed a good cleaning and the leather needed some attention, the engine bay needed a cleaning badly and as you will see, it turned out pretty good! The wheels also got special attention, they had been neglected and had probably never been touched on the inside of the rim :hairpull

Not to mention how bad the car was marred, but I'll let the pictures do the talking....

Exterior:

-Wash with NXT wash and the Schmitt

-Clayed the car using Pinnacle's Poly Ultra Clay

-Wheel wells and wheels cleaned with Meg's APC Cut 10:1, pressure cleaned, and then dressed the wheel wells with Armor All Tire Foam

-Tires are wearing Armor All Tire Gel (An awesome product to say the least, shines awesome, no sling what so ever! I can vouch for this because I put some on my White Mach 1 and had no sling :spot )

-Engine degreased using Simple Green Cleaner Foam, then it was pressure cleaned, Armor All Tire Foam was applied after this, and then today I wiped it down with Meg's Hyper Dressing cut 4:1

-Optimum Compound via LC Orange pad

-Optimum Polish via LC Orange Pad

-Jeffs Werkstatt Prime via LC White pad

-Jeffs Werkstatt Caranuba Jett :xyxthumbs

Interior:

-Vacuum

-Meg's APC 4:1 for carpets/mats

-Meg's APC 10:1 for door panels/sills/tough spots on leather

-Pinnacle Leather Cleaner/Conditioner for all leather surfaces

-Meg's Hyper Dressing cut 2:1 vinyl (dash, door panels, etc.)

-Stoners IG

As you can see, there were still some random deep scratches, but I really didn't want to cut all that much and I was fairly happy with the way it came out..Anyways, here are some interior shots and then the goodies!

Anyways, I'm kind of dissappointed, the owner showed up, looked at the car, scratched at the bumper and really didn't say all that much, and then he left :( I guess he didn't think I did too great of job or maybe he was mad at an 18 year charging him $200 for 10 hours of work??? Whatever the reason, its nice to see your guy's compliments, at least someone appreciates all of the work I put into the car.

awesome job i keep seeing jw nuba more and more I have ajt might have to invest in some of that 2.

Some people are hard to make happy u did a awesome job, congrats

Sweet job there. Love the reflections.

PS- The shiftknob is pointing the wrong way :D

Its funny how observational you people are LOL :)

As for the owner of the car...some clients just dont share our love for detailing. They see a clean car and dont appreciate all the hard work and effort that goes into a properly detailed vehicle. I have learned over time not to expect a substantial reaction from clients.

Geez, where do you live, Hawaii? (/sarcasm off, you live in FL.)

That's evil taunting us with that beautiful sun and palm trees..

^^+1... You shouldn't mind the owner much, because to a lot of people, if the paint seems shiny in the sun/light, it's prefect...

short story...

I was at work (valet) and some guy came with a black Porsche C4... long story short, I had detailed my manager's 04 Altima last fall and in all honestly, the car turned out perfect, and has stayed perfect for months now with SG on top... one of the guys there told the Porsche guy his car needs a detail, he looked all confused, looked at his paint, and said "Are you blind? I just went through a wash?"... all I said was to look at the reflection of the sun in his black Porsche and in my manager's black Altima across the street... he did and I got a new customer :xyxthumbs

Sorry for long reply, I'm just saying you should learn not to take the client's reaction too personally... take everything as constructive criticism, but you will be your best critic and know what kind of a job you did... this time, it's really really great imo
