hello, this will be my first detail using pc 7424, i have a black 01 blazer, with lots of light to med. cobwebs/ swirls ..i was going to use dacp #83 than # 80( to remove the marring from the # 83). i wanted to try klasse aio, if i use aio i think that would remove # 80 i want to try the "perfect shine" method described on this website.. my question is :

1- what do i use after # 83 but before aio ?

2- could i get by with the meqs # 26 for the "perfect shine "method instead of pinnacle or p21s wax ( is meqs a 100 % pure good quality caranuba )?

3- is putting caranuba on by itself instead of over acrylic sealant like aio going to give me better richness and depth? i kind of like the idea of the acrylic long lasting protection.. thank you todd

i assume anything i apply after # 83 will be removed by klasse aio... can you get as good a shine from a aio as you can just using a polish alone like # 80 or whatever ? i've never tried any of this..

1 - I would use #80 after you polish with #83. #80 will clean up hazing left from 83. You can use AIO after #80, but you probally won't notice much in terms of appearance. I would only use AIO after a 2 step polsih If iwas going to apply a sealant, and needed the surface to be oil free. This is where AIO comes in handy.

2 - Meguiars #26 is a great last step product. If the paint has been prepped properly, just about any last step product will look good.

3 - The carnuba over an acrylic sealant will give a differnt look, not necessarily better. A good carnuba will give it that just dipped look, and will appear very wet. A sealant will produce a more shiny look.

Your three options:

a) #83/#80/AIO/sealant of choice

b) #83/#80/carnauba

c) #83/#80/AIO/sealant of choice/carnauba

Each one will offer a different look. If I were you, I'd go with b). Since you won't be polishing for a few months you can always do AIO later and see if you like that look.

You can go b), then AIO/sealant of choice, then top with a carnauba in 1-3 weeks. Then you'll be able to see all of the combos before you polish again and decide which one you like best.

AIO will change the look of #80 slightly but it won't affect the polishing affect of #80. AIO will give you a somewhat brighter look compared to just going from #80 to your LSP.

On black paint, you will get the deepest look from going right from #80 to #26.
