Cyclo vs. PC

It seems that recently a lot more people have made mention of cyclo polishers. Could some of you that have experience using both of them elaborate on some of the differences of the two (more than just the obvious things...)? Also, maybe someone could point out the advantages of one over the other. I have read a little on the cyclo and it costs more than the PC. Is it a more "advanced" tool and does it take more skill than the PC to master? I have too many questions to ask about it, so any input will be greatly appreciated (as always)!!

I'm not familiar with the cyclo polisher, only the rotary, and more recently the PC. However, I believe one of our fine members (Anthony Orosco) uses the cyclo polisher. Hopefully, he will spot this topic and help you out. There may some others familiar with the cyclo polisher, but none come to mind.

I personally can't comment on the PC because I don't own one. I use the Cyclo Polisher and the Makata 9227 Rotary. I would be a little partial to the Cyclo and not giving the PC its deserved positive comments. From what I've read from everyone on this forum and other, the PC is an awesome machine. I'm sure Anthony Orosco will be chimming in shortly on this thread.

The cyclo is a great machine. It is lightweight and powerful. The cyclo has the ability to remove fine to light scratches. For heavier scratches a rotary is needed. I cant think of a better machine for someone who is not quite comfortable with a rotary, but needs something to polish paint to a high gloss. The cyclo is more expensive because of the higher quality components it is manufactured with. I believe it will turn out to be more durable than a PC, however, only time will tell.
