cyclo pad size??

What is the size of the cyclo pads? Some have told me you need less than 4" as they can touch each other and some have said that 4" is ok. What is the difinetive answer?

4" is fine, they do touch each other and run into each other but its no big deal - thats just how the Cyclo works.

by touching, will the pad not crumble and wear out from the sides?

Not unless you put 'em on really off-center. Some 4" pads (they're not all exactly the same size) barely touch at all when they're both centered just right on the heads, and even those that really touch will quickly wear just enough that it's not a problem. The big thing here is to center the pads as best you can, which can be a little of a challenge.

I had issues using the Propel 4" pads, but others have had great success. I then ordered the cyclo brand pads and had no trouble what-so-ever. Maybe it was just me being a newbie to the cyclo that made me have problems? Whether my pads were off center or not, the velcro backing also started coming off after my first use on the propels, this is where the cyclo brand pads shine because there backing is *great*

According to autopia site, the 4" sfx spot pads are ok for the cyclo. Is the 100% right?

Sorry, I never got around to trying mine I just end up using the cyclo brand pads.



I really don't see the rubbing being a huge issue...just center them as best you can and see how they work out.



IIRC, Bill D has used the LC 4" ones quite a bit and likes them just fine.

Lake Countrys 4" pads are superb for the Cyclo.

sorry guys for keep on pestering you. Is it possible for someone who has got a 4" sfx pads to test on there cyclo please? Especially the sfx1 as some say the pad crumbles as its much harder.

I've used SFX pads on the Cyclo. The work just fine, but the edges will get chewed up a bit, especially on the SFX-1 pads. The SFX pads are the right diameter, but because they're thicker and heavier and because of the Cyclo velcro backing plate design (the rubber "flap" that actually has the velcro backing allows some wiggle), they tend to touch when the machine is running even if you have them centered well.



The SFX pads work quite well, but as I said, you notice some edge wear, and some increased dust (from the foam itself as the edges break down).
