I have a satin black wrapped hood and while travelling to a show a piece of rubber hit my hood and left scuff marks. Im happy that it did its job and protected my paint but my question is what can I use to remove the scuff marks without affecting the coating or wrap. If anything.

Thanks

A light polish might help, but anything more abrasive may do more harm than good. Since it is already scuffed go with the least abrasive methods to repair first such as a heat gun or very hot water then maybe a low abrasive AOI polish.

That`s tough. Satin is tough because it`s slightly more gloss then matte. It`s going to be really hard to fix damage because you are going to be polishing plastic so the fixed damage will be glossier.I would take it back to the shop that did the install. If they are really good they may be able to heat it up and remove the bad side of the hood and put a new piece in without seeing a seam. Other option wrap it again it`s not $$$ when your just doing a hood. Get gloss or matte so you have products available for detailing.

Get a good spray Detailer, I’ve used Griot’s best of show to clean up some serious bird poo stains on the exact same thing.
