Yup, 200 mph with the door open. Only in a Dodge

So this is my first full blown Hellcat detail. Previously I had used essence + synergy on a Plum Challenger Hellcat and I applied a coat of Natty`s Black to a Plum Charger Hellcat.

Next Tuesday I get a brand spankin new Go Mango Charger Hellcat to play with and the following Friday I get a Metallic Black Challenger Hellcat for a few days.

Anyhow...

Products used, prolly forgot something or another

Wheels/tires-
Megs apc
Bdx
Fancy Brushes and soft black micros
Hydro2lite
Air blasted
Bold n bright gel brush applied

Paint-
Bdx
Super slick and suds
Mitts and 2bm
Pulled into garage for poorboys claybar (wanted to get up close and personal with this beast ao slipped the clay towels/mitts)
Air blasted

Pb Pp2 on tail lights

Pinnacle exhaust cleaner/brightener

Correction-
Rupes Duetto
Rupes Mk2 21
Rupes Mini
Rupes Nano
Rupes pads all sizes 1 inch to 7
Carpro gloss pad was only non Rupes pad

Adapt and uhs were used on UHS pads, some doors were worse than others and required uhs over adapt. Then i finally figured out how to properly use uhs so it didnt sling or dust badly so i just trucked along with uhs for most of the car (drivers side, trunk, hood)

Essence as a second polish to add the nice gloss

Gtech Crystal Serum Light
Later on added PBL coating booster the day of pickup

Glass got optimum glass cleaner / protectant

Engine, well i have a thread on that- it got Polish Angel Engine and Prima Hydro Wax as you dry on the paint under the hood

Heres some pics...im in a hurry for work so I am just dropping the pics I can copy and paste from my car clubs thread...i will add a few more later when i get a chance at work.

Paint was what you`d expect it to look like when it`s taken to the local car wash weekly- swirl city. Not horrible but oretty bad for 9k miles. Sorry I didn`t do any 50/50s you`ll just have to take my word for it. Also it was hard to get on camera anyways. It didn`t require a true compounding but UHS is pretty far down the polishing scale

thanks everyone!

so how long will this leftover coating last before going bad?

I think someone said about 3 weeks?

I guess I need to apply what I can this afternoon to my car or truck

Nice job.

Storage and Use

  • To apply CSL your vehicle must be indoors and it must remain indoors for at least 12 hours after application
  • Ambient conditions must be above 3 degrees C and below 25 C

  • Wash and then decontaminate your vehicle’s paintwork with Gtechniq W5 Citrus All Purpose Cleaner and W6 Iron and General Fallout Remover. If required, clay your paintwork to remove other bonded contaminants
  • If needed, polish your paintwork, either by machine or by hand, to remove any imperfections
  • Spray Gtechniq Panel Wipe onto a Gtechniq MF1 ZeroR Microfibre Buff Cloth
  • With your panel fully cooled after polishing, taking care to avoid any paint protection film or other types of vinyl film, buff away all polish residues. This process ensures you will get the maximum number of chemical bonds between the coating and your vehicle’s paintwork
  • Put on the gloves provided to prevent CSL coming into contact with your skin
  • Soak the application pad with two full measures from the pipette and work the liquid into the pad to get an even saturation
  • Replace the lid on the bottle and set aside - do not keep the bottle in your hand as this promotes premature curing
  • Apply with applicator provided in overlapping strokes to an area roughly 2’ x 2’, or work to the bodylines of the vehicle
  • After coating a single small panel or half a larger panel, remove residue with MF1 ZeroR Microfibre Buff Cloth. Always remove from further than you have applied, working from the outside in. It is essential to check for residue
  • You may need to buff the same area several times to remove residue. We recommend using two microfibre cloths at any one time. Please note that you are only removing excess product
  • When working with coatings, we recommend you inspect the panels with a bright but diffuse light source, not with bright spot lights which are very poor for spotting coating residue
  • Avoid buffing with too much force as this can spoil the surface you are protecting, and you may also drag the partially cured coating off the surface
  • Take care that the microfibre cloths you are using are rotated sufficiently and quickly so that CSL does not partially cure in the cloth, if it does cure then buffing residue will be significantly more difficult
  • If you miss removing residue and it cures fully, you should re-polish this area, and reapply CSL
  • As soon as you finish put the microfibres in water, and wash and dry them as soon as possible
  • Use CSL within 1 year of purchasing, for best results, once opened use within 3 months
  • Store opened bottles in a dry and cool storage area that is out of direct sunlight

sweet. thanks Guz, that`s great to hear. prolly have enough left from the next car;s vile (that he ordered himself at my request) to do the yellow challenger coming in.

We`ll see if thw 1k horsepower hellcat does the same- doubtful, but he is running a completely remapped ECU so may only have one key who knows

Thanks

I told him I was giving good deals to save for a hellcat and he wanted to buy my SRT (as his daily driver) after I picked him up in it to kickstart my fund, lol.

He didn`t believe it was a 2009 with 74k, :) i had to show him the odo then i popped the hood and, well my 74k mile bay is cleaner than his 9k mile one, lol

You made it too shinny, now he`ll never get away from speeding tickets.:P
It was candy apple metallic red I swear!

Even my phone saved 1080p hd video can`t capture the flake or paint accurately, not like the eye.

Need better camera for xmas.

I got a scat pack charger coming in a week or so, same color. He bought csl+exo himself to bring to me. :)
