Crooks!!!

Karma for previous avatars?

Seriously I am glad that you and your family are okay (always the scariest thing) and hopefully the idiots will be caught. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Why do you take your wallet out and leave it in the car?

My wallet never leaves my back pocket unless I am in my house.

I can only answer for myself, but I have a boney a$$ :-B

Having said that, I don't even carry a wallett. I carry my DL,Ins,& 1 CC, wrapped together with 1 of my wifes hairbands in my front pocket along with my cash. My other front pocket contains 2 keys on a ring. I travel light. Can't stand a bunch of junk in my pockets Da Rules!

To late now, but you should have scooped up the wallett in a gallon baggie and called the Police. If there has been a rash of this behavior in your area, they may have been intrested in trying to lift a print ;)

The security system is a good idea - locks just keep out honest people and amateurs. It could have been much worse in many ways, but still sucks regardless. Thanks for reminding us all.

Scum sucking maggots! :cursing: :cursing:

I've got a nice pair or pruning shears that I'd gladly use to "trim" their fingers back to the first knuckle. This should prove to be the hard lesson they're looking for......:cursing:

I've lived in this (new) house since February. Since that time I've NEVER (not once) left my wallet in my car, but on this particular day I had the wallet in my back pocket of my suit pants and I was driving wifey's car. Because I had left my jacket in my car and because it was uncomfortable, I took my wallet out and put it on the console between the two front seats.

We went in the house, parked the car in the garage and forgot all about it!

Dumb luck.

If it was Karma, I should have been run over by a stampeding elephant!!! LOL

Yeah, glad nobody was hurt. Property (and cash) can be replaced.

Oh, trust me, I didn't handle anything with my bare hands, but I was a bit disappointed with the cops when they came to my house.

The Lexus had finger prints ALL OVER IT that I knew weren't mine... (doh... I would never leave such greasy disgusting marks on my car).

I collected everything up with gloves but the cops didn't lift ANY prints at all. I told them I was 100% positive those were the prints of the crooks and were not there before, but all they did was take a report, take some pics and that is it.
