Creating your own product samples to sell

If you purchase a large bottle of lets say Klasse AIO and want to offer it to customers, is it 'legal' or alright to get smaller bottles to sell them?

Just want to make sure I dont break any :rules:

I'd reply, but I don't know the answer. My *guess* would be that most mfg. would not want you to decant their products. No quality control (Samples may be altered by dishonest people), no labels for proper directions, insurance, etc.

But, if I were wanting to do so, I would contact the company whose products I was planning on using, and ask them directly for their permission. Different companies may have less concerns than others about this.

Also, they may be willing to work with you (if you'd have enough volume, of course) to give you a bulk discount.

I don't know, but I can’t see why they'd care. It's more product turnover for them, plus technically what’s the difference of selling it applied or in a bottle?

as long as you have a tax ID number to sell retail you can do whatever you want with product...u just cant relabel it in the manufacturers label and sell it in mass quantities..or bulk

Clearkote does allow private labeling of their products. Some other companies do as well. Chemical Guys will custom blend stuff for you, although you'd probably need to make a large order.

Definitely make sure you follow your state and city's tax laws on selling products. Most don't make you charge sales tax for a service but they do if you sell a product.
