Could my Mazda Paint be This Hard?

Just purchased the car in my signature....had some dealer prep swirls and a few marks near door handles. I proceeded to polish with Propel Green and 106FF....not much change. Stepped up to a propel yellow...little better. Tried 1ZPP and mother's power polish as well. Car came out pretty good, but a few marks remain in direct sunlight. The paint seemed VERY hard. Is this typical? I would like to polish more, but don't want to take anymore clear from a new car. I'll polish again in the fall with OP and perhaps a white or green CCS pad on my PC.

Just found it interesting, as my Wife's Nissan paint is pretty soft.

Using Color-x and NXT to help deal with the marring of a DD black car....

I've ran into an issue with a mazda protege before. Swirls were all over the place, typical process will not work, gotta go heavy duty with it!

I dunno how hard their clear is these days, but IMO if you're not getting the marring out you're not taking off too much clear.

Thanks...for now, I can live with it. I think perhaps in September I will polish again, once I have some new pads and TIME! lol
