cotton lint and microfiber

If someone uses a plush microfiber to QD a vehicle which has traces of cotton lint, will the lint get washed out of the microfiber when washing it?



If yes, then how would this be different from washing cotton and microfiber together?

I would think that it would indeed pick up the lint and that the lint would *not* wash out.



When I compound a car with a wool pad I use older MF's to remove the product. After this use, I throw them away for fear that it will either A) contaminate my other MF's during the wash, or B) mar someone else's paint if the wool fibers do not wash out. Not sure that this would happen, but....

Of course it will wash out.

Especially if you wash with HOT water. The MF releases everything...its great.
