Do you perchance live in Virginia? I swear, like every 3rd time I get on the Dulles Toll Road, some idiot gets in the Smart-Tag Only lane and doesn't have one. Then they just stop there and panic for a bit and eventually try to back up out of the gate (by which time about 10 cars are lined up behind them and also have to back up). It is unbelievable. If you don't know what a Smart-Tag is, why the hell would you get in the Smart-Tag Only lane?? :wall

Aurora, believe me when I say it's not a Virginia-Specific Problem. We get idiots that ride in the I-Pass lanes and then wait until the last possible minute to switch over into a regular lane.



This is a common practice on I-294 (Tri-State Tollway), I-88 (East-West Tollway), I-355 (North-South Tollway) and some parts of I-90 (Northwest Tollway). But at some locations, there is a trooper sitting at the end of the I-Pass lanes waiting to nail folks that run through the I-Pass only lane w/o an I-Pass and folks who roll through there above the 30 mph limit.
