Cool wave pad best for rotary?

OCD Detailer!
I bought a bunch of cool wave pads 5.5" to try and I am surprised these pads only 7/8 thick and I thought this is too thin for rotary, as thin as low profile hydro or flat pad.

Are these pads best for rotary? Because it's a wave and CCS.

I am guessing this is combination of open and close cell just like CCS?

Yes it is the same CCS design. The cool wave is a "micro waffle" which gives a slightly more balanced feel (over larger waffle patterns) and more even cooling effect. We utilized that design combined with the collapsed cell pockets to absorb less polish.

I don't think they are too thin, but that may be determined by personal preference and specific application (pressure applied and which foam being used)

I will post the pic for comparison, I have 5.5 x 7/8 flat pad and hydro pad and regular 6.5 x 1 1/4 inch pad. I thought thin pad is meant for DA. So this is quite confusing for me.

I bought them as alternative to high gloss CCS. We need more cooling pad because the normal working day temperature is already 30-33C which 85-90F so the paint surface is already warm. I avoid using flat pad with rotary unless it's finishing with black pad, for compounding either straight to wool pad or a polishing, white pad with compound, I know it's rather odd.

Below is comparing with hydro 5.5 inch x 7/8

Below is comparing with hi gloss ccs 5.5 inch, normal thickness I think which is 1 1/4 inch

On Autopia online shop, there are no words about it being thin, 7/8 inch. Both the flat pad and hydro 5.5 inch one says they are 7/8.
If I were in the US, I would probably return these already. I was expecting normal thickness pad.
